  2. Grace, I thought it was a distress flag...Norwich City LOST last night! Iain
  3. Alan said.... Nothing sinister I hope in the initiation, Alan, like dunking them in the River Yare Iain
  4. Thanks Siddy for the update. I will set Tom Tom when I am leaving Sainsbury's at Kings Lynn on the Monday morning. -staying at the Premier Inn at KL - It should if its behaving itself inform me about all roadworks in the area. Not done the routte Mike mentioned since I think 1977! Iain.
  5. Hi David, Yes spot on, Mrs Mac. I am sorry, but I could not take the scooter down to the wee shop, that was also used in the series. Looking at the Luss Quay pic, its on the pathway down to the left. BTW there wasn't a midge in sight! They are waiting for the tourist season proper Iain.
  6. Wishing you many happy hours and days on your new boat Ray & Carole Iain.
  7. Looks like a well know sailor type out having fun on OB! Iain
  8. Hi Dave, Glad to hear they have returned home safely, if a somewhat long journey time back. Sorry to read you are having heating problems. If the heating is not up to scratch, I put the oven on and that heats things up quite quickly. I am sure Richos will want to look at the heating, as any of their boats I have had in the past the heating has been good or very good. Iain.
  9. Hi John, Sorry to read that the thieving scum bags have entered your boat. I sincerely hope these evil gits are caught soon. Sadly, I doubt it though, but, would be delighted to be proved wrong! Iain
  10. MM I was of course meaning WD40! Iain
  11. Hi Andy, I could not agree more. I do though hate calling boatyards out, and have in the past been able to sort the problem over the phone. Having mobile phones must have changed how yards deal with call outs compared to the days before cell phones. If little things like a loose screw or one missing (not mine I may add!) I always leave a note with the Office on return so they have a chance to sort before the next hire. One thing I have always done before leaving the yard is do my own checks from previous problems. The one that crops up most, if early season is the sliding canopy or roof. I think some may not have been tested, understandable in early season, so a wee squirt of the magic fluid by an engineer and off we go ! Iain.
  12. In retrospect we should have had Robin doing a Norfolk Live Cam report standing on the lorry! A full more as it happens ..... Iain
  13. I will leave other members to inform you where Scotland is Smellyloo.
  14. Hi David, I never push the scottish tourist board on here, would not be right IMHO. However, I do like to share what I see up here when I can. Luss car park was well full today, great to see. I also do not have to pay to park there, with my blue badge. Its just over 45 miles to Balloch, where the first pics were taken, The mountain with the tinge of snow, for those that have never seen it before, is called Ben Lomond, its over 3000 ft and named a Munro. Its another 8miles to Luss. If there are any Take the High Road fans, that is where a fair bit of the outside scenes were shot. Iain.
  15. Oops forgot to add this pic. Iain
  16. Oh perhaps the before pic looks ok..... hmmm there again ....... Iain
  17. Hi Folks, I was out today for a run to one of Scotland's National Parks Loch Lomond was a bit breezy near the loch. Iain
  18. Grace, I will put one pic on at sometime.(will have to check TOS for threatening a Mod Grace! ) Siddy and Dan have saved me the trouble! Alan, Just over a 1000 hits, hmmm not bad Iain
  19. Tim, Griff and any others....the A17 and the A47 have improved over the 40 plus years driving down. Remember on the A17 all the villages you had to drive through, on the A47 you saw such lovely places, such as Swaffham and Dereham then wonder why it took me over nine hours driving time just to get to Norwich!!! It has improved a bit, I don't swear so much when on the A17 Troutman62, yup done the other routte, just love looking at tractor rear ends...not! Maybe one day they will build a Motorway in Norfolk. Well we can but dream..can't we? Iain.
  20. Bonzo, Careful you will breach TOS making the members unwell and wondering where all our Egon ROONEY chefs on here have gone too! Iain
  21. David, you'd be dead meat, a braxi, deed, finnished, washed up, not worth living...errr do you get the picture Iain.
