  1. I should imagine they would recycle GRP into plastic chippings for packaging maybe? Watching that film that Carol put on about Southgates, also had me wondering what happened to all of those woodies? Anyone know? Iain.
  2. Hi Griff500, Welcome to the NBN friendly Forum Just seeing the old boats and cars put a smile on my face. The end of the film was tinged with sadness though. Iain.

We always forget summat, trouble is its usually about Scotch Corner or the A17 Sleaford turn off, the brain reminds me! As we won't hear from you for a week or so, Grace will go shoe hunting, Alan R/B will be toasting nicely on Ranworth Breeze. Young Alan will be having kittens watching their pride and joy put into the Marina. Me, well its MY turn to start counting the days till we are afloat!! Oh and David will be counting down also Iain.

  6. Hi Folks, Reading all of this reminds me why I played cricket and golf I however have always shown interest in F1 and the old Brittish Grand Prix that I saw once! 1962. I have found this for you enthusiasts.... Iain
  7. Hi Mark, I have been below with the sweaty mobs, not a very pleasent experience at all It was in August, very muggy, and was lugging a case from Kings X to get to London Bridge for a train to Ashford. The heat on the platform was awful. How anyone can live a normal life commuting in London is beyond me. I have seen near Zombies with paper or book or MP3 on the 7pm trains at Charing X and Victoria on my way back out to Redhill. I only go into the city for the West End shows or did rather. I could not walk round London now. Iain
  8. Hi Alan, I have just been along Troon seafront to Royal Troon GC. The going there was fine with the sun on my back on the scooter, but my eyes were watering like a drain on the return trip. Just dinny get too brown and sunburnt or we will all get very jelous! Well, I will! Iain

  12. This is the REAL Cora, born on the Isle of Skye. A malteeser. My mates dug. Iain
  13. Cora anagram of Orca. Its also a Gaelic name is Cora. It means Maiden or Heart Iain
  14. Hi Strowy, I can see where Clive is coming from. I had to lift the bed and bedding to check the water and weed filter and oil level on my hire boat last year. A bit of a bind, So I am looking forward, hopefully on Broadway2 NOT to have to carry out such duties. Like you, I did it for manys a year, centre cockpit boats were a bit fiddley doing checks then. The 32ft alpha was about the easiest centre cockpit engine to check. Maybe it was me, but BMC 1.5 Captains always required the header tank topped up every day! Iain.

  19. Oye you lot!!! Enough of this lovely weather reporting! Its cold up here, it was dull wet and miserable yesterday. Today its 10c roughly 50F. I blame DonnyGeoff, it was lovely last week when he was in Scotland, he has taken the good weather back with him, the tea leaf! Oh and get that grass cut JM! Iain.
  20. Hi Folks, Just a wee bump up of this thread, I made enquiries regarding the litter situation and have had two replies. One from NNDC who say they have nothing to do with the Broads rubbish removal and another today from the Broadland District Council. It would appear there has been a meeting of all concerned. A brief extract of the letter received. "Broadland District Council, North Norfolk District Council, Great Yarmouth Borough Council, South Norfolk Council and the Broads Authority have worked in partnership to deliver a network of waste facilities spread out across the Broads Network for the 2015 boat season." "The Broads boat hire federation have also helped by working with boat hire companies to compile a list of their waste disposal facilities which are available for all boat users." I hope that clears up any doubt, including my own. Iain.
