Hi Ian, Having played with and against Aussie Test players, it was Benaud and Tony Locke that encouraged young Oz cricketers to come over to Scotland to cut their teeth. He sure was a very highly respected cricketing gent, and as you said will be sadly missed. As a kid I saw him playing in a one day match, he was a brill leggy bowler who developed the flipper, that Shane Warne took to another level IMHO. I believe his country has offered a state funeral for him, I think that says it all. Richie Benaud RIP. Iain.
