  1. I do hope this member offers us other members a nice 20% discount Good luck to this person too! Will certainly stop in.
  2. Ok Ron, I think it's getting confused if you have too many accounts. The email you logged in last all seems fine. Try not to log in using the one which shows as "Guest" as that's now not linked to any account and I suspect will stop permitting you to post soon as guest accounts aren't permitted to post on here.
  3. I see "New boat forces reluctant sale" what did you buy Mr Plant??
  4. As previously advised, I will report any and all tw*ts. Obviously I'm not going to report anyone going just a tad over but I did/will report someone/anyone being stupid and dangerous and that's not me taking any moral high ground it's just the right thing to do. So don't be a it tw*t anywhere near me and I won't report you! P.s the person who reported content on this, sadly you wasn't logged in, if you wish to add further please message any of the forum team.
  5. Ron I guess when you are showing as Guest you are logged on via taptalk on your phone. Can you log out on there and log back in again.. See if that fixes it.
  6. Thanks Ron, I can see all looks good.. your reputation now appears to have jumped a bit, not quite sure how that happened lol The post count is hopefully wrong but sadly I can't see a way of fixing that.. I think there's an issue with your phone. I don't think taptalk is quite compatible now so you need to stop using that (Go to http://www.thenorfolkbroads.net/ using your phone internet browser - It actually looks better too) . Or log out and log back in again, hopefully that will fix it. Sorry once again but good to see you logged in again.
  7. Mr Marshman.. your latter constructive comment.. sounds perfect. Even further 3 tickets and your banned.. or 3 tickets and we will have you in court, at least the persecution should be strong and less likely to waste money and thus reduce the possibility of services being reduced the BA have wasted it on lawyers.
  8. although I understand the need to persecute where required they shouldn't be putting themselves in such position which it could waste money like that.. tut tut BA If anything ban the owner/boats from the broads (Or block them from hiring).. Although I guess such costs would do that anyway but there's better ways to apply justice.
  9. Although I think it's widely apparent my dislike for speeders (like Andy I will report any boat which I deem as speeding) I'm not convinced this story is 100% correct. I would be very very surprised if that was the true cost. I'm no expert in legal things but evenso those legal costs seem a bit steep. If true then its a serious potential waste of money should the BA have lost. Can anyone find anymore details out to prove this story to be correct.
  10. Hi Ron, There is something strange going on with your account. You had two accounts. I tried to merge it together but it looks like it broke it! Helpful.. I'll ask Jonzo if he can help.
  11. Neil.. don't forget on high tide it can't get any higher.. so it's only going to be flowing out .. So going north to hit it on high slack you will be beating the incoming tide all the way over breydon.. then when you reach yarmouth the tide will start flowing out the bure so you will be beating it all the way up... Same going south.. you will be beating the tide coming towards yarmouth (as tides coming in to high water) then it will be flowing out the yare at breydon so you will beat it all the way. Thus Hope you have a bloody good engine.. Ideally two just in one has enough. It's far easier to do it at low water (slack ) and use the outgoing, then incoming tide Cheers
  12. At least you don't need to go under potter bridge as you can see over it...
  13. Mod's someones hacked JanetAnnes profile.. a wooden boat is not going to suggest someone should buy a plastic boat.. What's up with you JA.. those pesky humans been cutting you away again... (P.s can we see some pictures of your refurb? I need reminding of how easy our work still is ).
  14. I wouldn't dream of having a decent sports cruiser on the broads it's not the place. For the broads you need a broads cruiser, built like a russian lada as so it can defend itself from the attacks from hireboats and inexperienced privateers. It needs to be a single tiny baby engine with maximum fuel efficiency as so you can get out and cruise about to which is what the broads is all about and ideally be short enough to get under the bridges away from the world. You will be too afraid to take a decent boat out, big engines will quickly glaze over, the planning hull is a right handful on the confined spaces on the broads. They don't make "Broads cruisers" for nothing! Friends of ours have a searay sundancer 34. twin 360hp petrols and have it in the best place posible;... the Greek islands.. that's the place for such boats Good luck with your search..
  15. Hi Mark, I think you need to just delete the bits in your signature and try again.
  16. Wimp.... using an umbrella.. I've never used an umbrella but have sat up there like that.. wind, rain, snow, (and the odd day of sun).
