  1. Thanks John. Considering what we have done, we both expected these little things (although not quite the transom plate to leak) but once everything is sorted she will be good fun again.
  2. To be or not to be Friday 14th August Up straight from work... We had a sneaky walk around Beccles and was kinda spotted by Griff (although not sure he recognised us in the dark lol).. Chinese take away in hand back to the boat for 10pm (yup far too late for chinese!). Last weekend though we spotted some water in the bilge and hoping it was rain we dried it last weekend so we opened the engine bay up and sad to see more water. Although it was just a little more and clear that the two bilge pumps hadn't kicked in so it really wasn't much. Although further inspection it was clear that the transom plate was leaking so in our opionion it wasn't wise to take her out and 4 hours down to beccles and back.. (Yup really gutted). Saturday 15th August We thought about tightening the bolts and heading off to Beccles but Dave really didn't want to though as he was worried about making it any worse, and it's only a slight weep at present. We had to grab the anodes from Brian wards this morning I aimed to be there as they was opening but it was a late one yesterday so yup 10 out the door over reedham ferry (we had to queue!) 11 in brundall. Then straight down to beccles (Via postwick this time!). 5 hours in beccles taking pictures then back to the boat and Dinner in the Dukes head.. Sunday 16th August Packed away and heading home just after 9.. Not much more of a leak so we are confident the pumps will cope at present whilst we can work out what the next step is.

  4. Has anyone seen the SOB out this year??
  5. I just stumbled on this, ofcom have put together a decent map of UK wide phone coverage. Broadland looks interesting, although I can hardly get a signal on Three and that's showing as mostly a decent signal : http://www.ofcom.org.uk/mobile-coverage
  6. Sadly Steve they do need to really high quality for the calendar. Nice pic though.. Have you got anymore??
  7. Thanks Steve, But can you upload here for me please, as so we can check its big enough : http://calendarcompetition.thenorfolkbroads.net/
  8. Another bump.. Submit your photos.. we need to kick the voting off soon and get this calendar sent to the printers!
  9. (There was/is a project to refurb marina keys although last time we went through it didn't look work had started: http://www.eastangliangroup.co.uk/project/great-yarmouth-marina/)
  10. Thank you for sharing. It looks a brilliant day. Shame I missed it. Hopefully will witness soon.
  11. Lol you are one of them then lol.. Actually erm.. I know someone too lol Sounds a good evening out...
  12. They had a comfortable trip then! I can't believe why the government is still fining people when it's clearly obvious that they are currently incapable of controlling the boarder. I'm also surprised why the haulers are putting up with this, if I was them I'd be blockading every port in the UK to remind them to sort things out.. I do feel very very sorry for them.
  13. I thought when this all came about a couple of years ago, the Media agreed in the end that these things have been here for years and these stories if limbs failing off where just an illergic reaction to the sting.. just like you get with a bee or wasp.. So mum stop being a wimp!
  14. That guys voice is soo annoying though..
  15. Lol brilliant story.. It kinda reminds me of our first trip.. when I was 17 (I know I've said before so sorry all..) Here's some highlights.. Almost tboned reedham Ferry, Three of use stood of the bank at reedham holding the bow lines whilst the boat worked out which way it wanted to moor up lol, Got it stuck sideways across the enterance to Herbert Woods basin. Did the ropes up too tight at Oulton broad it lifted out the water lol .. but geez sounds like we got away lightly!! Thanks for sharing! Certainly agree Clive needs to go at get that cup back from that london rascal!
  16. Yup it seems like they have removed the "Friends" function with the "Follow" function and these wasn't migrated over. You can follow people though by clicking the "Follow" button on the members profile (So click on their picture on any post). Although by following people it means you will get an email each time they post.. so it's probably not a good idea to follow big posters like me lol.. (Glad you got this far though Dad )
  17. Sadly Smellyoo the answer to this one is a bit technical and by design... Erm.. it needs you to log in so it knows whats new and what you've not looked at before Once you log in though it should remember you have logged in so you don't need to again
  18. I've replied to your PM John I think I'm keeping up lol I probably should have done a support ticket system in hindsight but I think it's all pretty stable
  19. Hi All, I heard from our Skipper (Jonzo) late last night that there had been an issue with Photos during the upgrade. Regrettably some photos (possibly uploaded in the last week or so) went overboard and are missing at sea. He has tried as much as possible to restore from a backup but it still seems some are missing , therefore: If you notice your photos are missing still you will need to upload them again. Obviously the NBN team are very sorry for this inconvenience but we are confident all is good now. Thanks again for your support and understanding.
  20. That's the second there in a week or so isn't it.. Perhaps the BA need to put some sticks there.. Then again people shouldn't always assume everywhere is safe to moor up.
