  1. The way I would go about it is to keep your television and music separate , I would go for a mechless audio system that would give you everything you wont and need radio , dab , iPhone connectivity , Bluetooth , USB and remote control if you wish , but no cd player but who wonts cd's all over the place these day's put your music on your phone or a pen stick or your tablet or even your laptop it's the way forward , I will leave a link to the system we use on The Corsican . As far as I know you can not buy a 12 volt t.v. blue ray combo , how ever you can buy a 12 volt t.v. DVD combo with USB as long as you have that it then give you the ability to have blue ray , simply put a blue ray film on a pen stick or on a DVD , as long as it is a blue ray file the television will recognise as such and will play it in blue ray , hope this helps here is the link to one of the mechless systems out there , however there are lots of them you need to look about ... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Clarion-FZ502E-Mechless-Deckless-USB-Car-Stereo-Radio-iPod-Bluetooth-AUX-In-/272462760978?hash=item3f700bcc12:g:sJwAAOSw5cNYOFLW

  3. Great stuff , it was not in this post but in one of the other Cooking On The Corsican posts I put up here it is ... In this Vlog apart from showing the viewers how to make the perfect Omelette I touch on the importance of having good sharp knifes , many people do not know that a blunt knife is far more dangerous than a sharp knife and in the Vlog I show several good knives and ways to keep them sharp , one of the best ways if you are not confident with a steel is the Any Sharp it claims to be the worlds best knife sharpener , that's another story , however I have owned one for many years and they are absolutely fantastic not only do they keep your knives sharp but you can also do your scissors and they will also do serrated knives really great product for around £10 , I will place a link at the bottom if anyone ells is interested in buying one . So it is great to no the Vlog has helped Griff out hopefully we will provide useful hints and tips over the coming months that will help other members that's what it's all about thanks ... ... 9. Could I see your knife have you got a picture please Grendel ... ...
  10. Yes lots of people have warned me about the little stove , I bought it about 5 or 6 years a go as a emergency cooker just in case something went wrong with the gas on board , and I have used it lots of times with no problems not to say there would never be a problem hopefully not . We are looking at other single ring hobs / stoves but I would rather not go down the electric road as it would go against the hole idea of cooking on a boat but who knows we may have to go that way . Thanks for your concern I do check every thing over before I use it , it is a great little stove as i'm sure you will agree if you use one I have made a complete dinner on it when I ran out of gas more than once ...
  11. I could not remember how much I paid for mine but when I checked it was about £10 , I must admit I did not think they would be as good as they are but they are excellent every home should have one ...

  17. Funny you should ask me about Rabbit Baitrunner , I have several recipes but one in particular is my favourite , and as I promised to do requests I will get some Rabbit and do a Vlog on this recipe , I can't say when but it will be soon you have my word ...
  18. Thanks everyone for your input , I'm still researching all the different single ring hobs / stoves available on the market , it's all a bit of a mine field just type single ring hob stove in to Ebay and you will see what happens . We will be on the river this weekend as per , and Cruising On The Corsican will be filming Vlog number two , we have had a request to make something however if you want to know what it is well You'll just have to watch . It is going to be a very wet , cold , windy and maybe even some snow at the weekend but we are really looking forward to getting out and about and enjoying the Broads as we love cruising in the winter it is our favourite time of the year , some weekends you don't even see another boat it's like having your own private river so good ...
  19. I am looking at all the single ring hobs / stoves that are available , it would be nice NOT to have to plug in to the electric as the idea of the vlog is to demonstrate what you can achieve on a boat with limited cooking facilities , but don't get me wrong if I have to go down that line in the interest of safety well I will , anyway please keep the ideas coming there all very good ...
  20. Thanks John I have thought about going that way I'v seen some very nice single ring burners which we could succour to the table and as you say have the bottle outside could be the way forward ...
  21. the problem with filming in the galley is it's size and the head is so close to the galley there is no where for Steve to get a really good shot and be able to pan in and out , so that is why we chose sitting at the table lots of room to lay things out and room for Steve to be able to move around with the camera . We can't change the size of The Corsican so we will have to continue filming at the table , so we need to look in to is a way of cooking there safely any suggestion would be welcome please . I have been looking at all different kinds of single ring hobs / stoves that are out there and also a electric frying pan which doubles as a slow cooker it's a all round dose everything kind of thing , so please don't think I am just dismissing what you guys are saying I'm not . So dose anyone out there have any good ideas that would help us to continue the Vlogs safely thanks ... ...
  22. Thanks very much Charlie very nice of you , we will be doing another Vlog this weekend as we have hade such a good response from the first one ... ...
