1. Hi Lozi me and Wombat just watched you go by the BA moorings in St Olaves we did wave but you didnt see us, have a good holiday :wave

:wave hi all just thought i'd update things, we've finally met snowy, at oulton broad, just before we left, it was nice to see you at last, & sorry that we missed you wombat & quo vadis, lori

2. :wave:wave goodmorning everybody ,& what a lovely morning it is too, it was quite busy here in the marine yesterday with boats, we only just managed to get in, after we'd been to the bitch in the ditch  we went to the waveney pub for a few drinks, then decided to go the wherry but because it was light we'd left the curtains open so we decide to go & close them on way to wherry,as there was a large gang of lads on cycles hanging about, & it makes you feel abit insecure when you've got all them gadets onboard, anyway off sandra trots to close the curtains & nearly missed her footing getting onboard  , then we went off to the wherry & as soon as we started to enter the hotel she went & tripped again & nearly went flat on her face :lol: , & of course everybody in the bar saw her & burst out laughing, so we went to the bar & there was a young couple there, the boyfriend burst out laughing but his girlfriend hid behind him, she tried not to laugh but she could'nt help herself & started to laugh, but luckily sandra is laid back like me & she found it too, anyway we did have have a good night out, it was quite choppy last night again & we were rocking all night, but i did'nt mind as it it rocked me to sleep aah  , i got woken up early this morning by the laughing ducks, great, i love it, today we are off for a trip so to speak  to reedham after breakfast, sorry we did'nt get to meet you snowy, maybe next year, here's a few pics of oulton. lori :Stinky
3. none you walked past the window today at work lol! love the hair colour

:wave hi snowy, which place do you work in ? you ought to have come & said hello, i don't bite you know, i'm adraid we don't think much of the lady in the lake pub more like dead lady in the lake lol , so we went to the waveney, we're now sat in the wherry hotel, lori cheersice slice

4. :wave hi snowy yes you are right we are in oulton broad, we had a rather bumpy night as the currant was very strong, & according to the harbour masters at gt yarmouth it was the neap tide, they were a life saver , my laptop went & died on me last night, & they charged it up for me, i bought a car charger for my laptop but none of the plugin bits fitted, norfolk people save the day the again, we came over breydon this morning, stopped off at somerleyton for lunch then came on to oulton, we're sitting enjoying the sun at the moment, can't believe how nice the weather is for september ,off to the pub tonight, to our lady of the lake, lori & sandra. cheersice slice
5. Hi Lori,

I was about yesterday but did not check to see when you were about, perhaps if i am about when you come back I can say hello., :wave

:wave hi clive we will be back on sunday, probably about 2.30ish, it would be really nice to see you before we go home, lori cheers

6. :wave hi all i had problems with my laptop earlier, with the signal, so could'nt put any more pics on ,so here are the rest of them sorry, lori ice slice
7. :wave hi all me & my sis are finally floating on our hols, we came down on monday on the train from chessy to norwich, then we got the train to wroxham, then shared a taxi with another couple from london, & it cost us £16.00 just to stalham from wroxham, we hired san remo, nice boat but not very nice colour  , we first stopped at ludham, & realised that we'd not got very much in the way of groceries, so we went to see if the bridge shop was open, BUT we were out of luck, so we decided to go to the dog inn pub, had a drink & ask this young man if there was any other shops around, & he said that there was one about half a mile away & that he would take there, which he did bless him, what a guy, this is a pic of our boat,

tuesday 20th

today we decided to go to great yarmouth as we found out that we could'nt charge our fones as we'd only brought our normal chargers but there was no plug, only car charging plug, so we went & had lunch had a walk around & had to buy some car charging plugs, that'll teach us  i can't believe how busy it is down here, there's boats moored up for about half a mile, & the wind is getting up, so it looks like we're going to have a bumpy night, it's the first time we've moored up at yarmouth & it seems abit pricy at £12.00 for the night. so lets hope it not too windy tomorrow, as we're going across breydon.bye for now, :Stinky lori

8. Forgive my ignorance, but do caravans not come with any electrical installation at all? Someone should have sent him in the direction of a well discussed travellers site...... :naughty::naughty:

 forgot to say it was an oldish caravan, which did'nt have any electrics on it. sorrrry. lori

9. :wave hi all , a friend of my hubbys has a caravan, he's known at work as coco lol, he's been banned from driving THE OVERHEAD CRANE, THE FORKLIFT TRUCK, & THE LORRIES, as he managed to crumple 2 steel roll down doors,& denied all knowledge of it, do you get the picture now ? WELL " he decided to rig his caravan up with electrics so that he could have electric hook-up for it, he thought he'd done a good job, but i'm afraid he's not an eletrician lol, anyway he got to the camp sight in cornwall, hooked his caravan up to socket, his wife then decided to make some quick tea as it was getting late, she put the microwave on & .....yes you've probably guessed it, it blew up, but not just the microwave, BUT, he blew the fuse box up to the whole caravan damn park too, everybody came out of their caravans wandering what had happened,BUT being coco tried to blame someone else, he went to the office & an eletrician went to have a look at the fuse box, but could'nt work why it had blown the whole park, & he did'nt want to get found out, so next morning he made a very quick exit :o . has anything like that ever happened to any of you lot ? lori
10. Not on the broads but when we were on the Fossdyke at Lincoln we used to get a lot of young deer (dead) in the river. The EA or British Waterways put some stone ramps in the river at regular intervals to help but sadly not all made it out.

:wave hi gretzky there used to be alot of seals that got trapped in the locks too, especially at boston, i can't believe how much lincolns changed, & not for the better, i miss that lovely little pub that used to be there, before the one that is now called the shed, how original NOT.

11. Think my bin man has one of those cable tied to the front of his wagon :grin: Obviously lost it's button and so wasn't good for collecting anymore! :naughty::naughty:

:wave hi littleboat, are you sure it's a steiff bear, even old tatty bears are still worth alot of money,if it was a steiff bear, did it look like any of these bears ? & was it a soft or hard bear ? these are my collection of steiff bears, well some of them  lori

12. :wave hi all i'm afraid i have to dissagree with you there, because we've never ever had it drummed into us about being careful on breydon, non of the hire companies have ever said anything to us , apart from WATCH THE TIDES, thats all they've ever saif to us, & we've crossed breydon quite a few times, & never had any problems crossing, we've always stayed inside the posts even though we did'nt read the manuals, it's just a case of using your common sense. lori
13. Lori, Hi

Back in '46 my parents brought me down to the Norfolk Broads for the first of many happy fortnights over the following years. The first boat was a small wooden, petrol-engined boat which I recall was named Gypsy Maid (or was it Moth?). :Stinky:Stinky

Mary-Jane and I bought our first boat, a 23ft Fairline Holiday Mk1 in 1982, down in Dartmouth. We brought it back, via the Channel Isles, to Brundall with the 3 children onboard. I was quite brave/foolhardy in those days and thought little of launching forth from Alderney to Brighton in a F4/5..... sadly, our children have never been too interested in boating since... :cry:cry:cry

:wave OH dear john that's so sad, i can't see how anyone can hate the broads or boating, to me just being afloat & listening to the ducks seeing that beautiful mist first thing in a morning is magical, ive talked to one or two of my friends & they said that they're happy just sat on a beach all day drinking & eating, & i can't think of anything more boring, give me the broads any day,& i love that floating feeling you get when you're on a boat, my idea of bliss. :Stinky lori

14. :wave hi andyg, thats one bright boat you're hiring lol, at least you'll feel summerie even if it's abit on the cold side, i'm afraid we've hired the opposite, we've hired san remo, which is a horrible green colour, ( sorry clive ) but we have hired that type of boat before, & found that the front cabin could be slight chilly at night, so we slept in the back, which was warmer because of the engine. lori ice slicecheers
