  1. Part of Beccles Carnival Definitely no fireworks whilst I was there, from any wooden boat owners or visitors.
  2. just got in from a great day at the Wooden boat show good selection of boats on show. lots of visitors interested in the boats Met lots of freinds old and new. Thanks has to go to Aunty pat's cafe for keeping me fed and watered Thanks Pat and Mike and to JA for the wonderful organisation, although it went a little quiet on the voice at the end. A great day, good weather, fantastic company and barrels of laughs. I'll leave JA to post the rest of the photo's

  7. Have found a free site for Audiobooks https://librivox.org/search Have just dowloaded . The Land of the Broads by Ernest Richard Suffling It's a broads handbook written in 1886-7 and is a fantastic listen about how the broads were in the latter stages of the 19th century. There are another couple of broads books on there. quite a lot of the old fiction books too. All of the books are out of copyright and are read by volunteers. You can volunteer to record books yourself if you are looking for something to doto while away those long winter nights

  20. Just watched both of them Loved the quote of 60 boats per navigable mile of the rivers. 120 miles x 60 = 7200 boats of which 2800 were hire boats.
