  1. day 7 the last full day, and its going to be a long run, 7am start to get back above potter for the tuesday hand back. for those who say use a speed app, that would be fine, but out in the sun, with the tablet flat on the roof, its barely readable.
  2. day 6, sunday, and it was packing away time, an invite for a Malanka cooked evening meal tempted me back up to coltishall common, where a wonderful evening was had.
  3. day 5 saturday dawned, and it was cruise in company day, this went well apart from 1 boat that decided to overtake 3 others right on the corner by the swan as we came up, breath in everyone. I have noticed that 1 of my cameras has a smudge on the lens, please excuse this, s that I too could dress ship, Malanka's boathook was borrowed and the mount tube of my telescope was called into service to support it. as we passed the ferry inn, something unusual in pink was occurring. we passed water rail moored up.
  4. Day 4 was down from the new inn at horning to South Walsham broad, then back up to Ranworth island for the following days cruise in company.
  5. day 3 was through potter heigham bridge, all the way to Wroxham, under the bridge and up to coltishall, then back to horning. passing wroxham broad there was a dayboat with a photographer and a swimsuit model. Wroxham village has a free mooring for a couple of boats.
  6. Wroxham bridge and wroxham well that concludes the videos, probably best with the sound turned off as I havent edited them, so you wont want to hear the engine and me singing.
  7. there may be a glimpse of a kingfisher in one of the videos, as I saw one, but it came up the wrong side of the boat for the camera.
  8. Coltishall to Wroxham I ended up using 2 cameras and missing a section in the middle
  9. Maurice Mynah, while i was up at the pleasure boat yesterday I caught a miscreant defacing Nyx, yes she was cleaning the name and numbers.
  10. well I arrived home about 1pm, since then I have unpacked and downloaded photos and videos. now to go through them and select the ones to post.
  11. I think I need to visit Nyx with my car PO02.
  12. just remember to stick your registration number within 2m of the bow
  13. So, this is not the end, I still have a ton of photos and videos to upload from my cameras when I get home, so expect the thread to get picture intensive from here on. The photos so far have been those I took on my tablet,. With 4 digital cameras and 2 video cameras also to hand, I did get a lot of pictures. Videos are limited to yesterday's morning cruise down from Coltishall, and of course wroxham bridge.
  14. Final awakening on the boat, this was the view that greeted me as I opened the curtain.
  15. Today was a busy day, 7am start, down to wroxham, through the bridge and on to potter, through that at just a shade under 6 foot, then on to candle dyke. After changing to Pauline's boat we then sailed to west somerton, brewed a cuppa, then sailed up to the pleasure boat where we had our evening meal. (I had a most excellent suet pastry steak and kidney pud.) Then it was a sail back to where I had left Judith 5 on candle dyke, just around the corner from martham boatyard, ready to hand back in the morning.
  16. Evening meal last night was aboard Malanka, a wonderful meatball casserole prepared From scratch, on a bed of his special rice, (if this is ever offered to you don't pass it up, it is gorgeous). Followed by a great evening chatting with Martin, Sonia and Simon - great company that passed the hours way too fast, but all too soon it was time for bed, it will be an early-ish start this morning as I want to get back the other side of potter bridge today. The week has been excellent so far and the end of this solo adventure is approaching far too rapidly, a good week with great company found on the way, old friends met and new friends made.
  17. Currently moored up with Malanka at coltishall common, such a lovely stretch of river to just poodle up in company
  18. They were great as they were without any additional additives, fresh bread still warm from the other needs nothing else.
  19. Plus Vaughan and Wussername
