  1. last night a paper template was cut out for the bow section of the planking, ready for the 1/32" plywood to arrive (hopefully today) to then have the plank lines burnt in and stained etc.
  2. especially when they come ready packaged in their own biodegradable skin.
  3. site security mode at night?
  4. just watching it again there is just two instances i can see where it zooms in on the HW entrance where there are 3 houses in shot - I cant see how one could say its looking in the windows though as its just too far away, one other instance as it zooms it does get a pretty close shot but when it finishes zooming it clearly avoids that houses windows. you might have a case to ask them not to zoom so close if you lived in one of the 3 houses they zoom in to, but other than that i see no real issues, having watched it through its complete loop. as a security camera, watching their river entrance though, they are probably going to get the 3 bungalows behind in the shot whatever you do
  5. Charlie, from what I can see its just on a programmed loop, not able to be controlled from the website, I will check when I get home as I can only get it on my tablet at work, but I dont think you can take control and make it zoom into a specific window.
  6. from what I saw for the limited time I had available to watch, while the camera zooms in, I didnt see it as closely enough to observe the goings on inside any private residence, and the only view of the gardens was less than one would get cruising past on a boat. maybe if you raise the point with herbert woods they can do a similar exercise that Barnes did with obscuring the parts of the camera view that looked into windows, or just have it default to a different spot before zooming in, getting a screen shot of the offending moment and sending it with a request should gain a response, as there must be legislation concerning this with all the cameras that now watch our streets - 1984 anyone.
  7. well, it looks like I will have to remake those angles - oh no I hear you cry, your poor fingers - no thats not the reason, its just that they should be chequer plate stainless steel - and I have found I can get that from a model truck shop - real scale stainless chequer plate, well it just has to be.
  8. blocked on my work machine, but i can get it on my tablet
  9. my second car was a bitsa escort, it had bits of a 1100, a 1600 and a 1300, the engine was cobbled together from 2 and got working, the rad was from the 1600, so it always ran a bit cool, but it ran and got me around. has anyone noticed how much more reliable cars are nowadays than they ever were back then, I am sure a week didnt go by when something needed tweaking or fixing, oil adding or water.
  10. its on their facebook page https://www.facebook.com/horseyNT/?__tn__=%2CdkCH-R-R&eid=ARAAAMrdxLvFvz-V40Ths3AATF5CwtOkMhggC_Y6btNuKFrtTy-Gm8MXcQLp74pndCmSpgdlyk7HDt_n&hc_ref=ARQ4hUPJokGqyzkYdN60Wj6U3NLFC-VfFClgjaHlFyofvbtocRTsgGuBvgpduEeoYcA&fref=nf&hc_location=group
  11. so tonights work was cutting the ral sections to size and fairing them in, some stainless sheet was also bent to form an angle, then trimmed down to size, trimming stainless steel leaves nasty sharp edges, so needless to say, I sliced my finger on it.
  12. the curved piece has now been planed to a taper and cut into 2 pieces ready for offering up to get the cut angles correct.
  13. probably blocked by your company firewall, it is for me as it is streaming media.
  14. my os open data map puts it as you both say, just at the entrance of duck broad, just before you turn the corner into Martham Broad, just as you enter Barton, just before the second entrance to wroxham broad, at the end of the moorings at south walsham broad, at the river end of the dyke at ranworth, all the way into Norwich to the mill on the Yare, up to the road on the chet, up past the locks at geldestone
  15. my old escort used to do that, the plastic insert that screwed in on the gearstick had cracked, so if you changed too hard it came off in your hand, oh the fun we had.
  16. my first car was a VW Variant (estate beetle)in a lovely yellow colour.
  17. I think it sounds better as open mouth, considering its a food and drink festival
  18. we look forward to hearing more about the project and do keep us informed about any projects that need volunteers to assist, I am sure we have many members here that would be happy to help such a project.
  19. the hull shape looked familiar so I too wondered.
  20. I did wonder why I had spent a lot of time this evening approving new members
  21. I believe I was the one that muddled it up in the first instance.
  22. also worth remembering that the toll is based upon boat length and width, so it may increase your toll.
  23. yes Griff, thats the plan, I just needed to get the correct curve for the two pieces, one either side, with the teak rail in the middle.
  24. next there is a section of the top rail at the corner of the stern that needs to be made, as this is on a curve it is easily made from laminated strips in a former, glued up, so here is where it goes, and heres the part clamped up in the former. after the glue is dried the taper will be planed in
