  1. thanks for that and i get what you mean, not much saveing but a much better way to use the fuel,
  2. best blog by far well done, it very possable i missed a bit, but what was the desel usage over the 4 days ? thanks chris
  3. very warm welcome and i get where your comeing from about the agressive nature of the other side !!
  4. well I think the advert will, divide people one side or other, though think it a little unfair on Sainsbury’s to label them as jumping on the bandwagon they have been supporters of the Royal British Legion for 20 years, and this advert was made in conjunction with them. Also if does prompt kids/ adults to ask questions or find out more then that can only be a good thing. One final point I do not work for Sainsbury’s or any company associated with it, what I do is total evil a mortgage broker in the city lol
  5. Personally myself in your situation, If I found out that what you say is true, I ask your friend (she is a freind after all) out right, why what the reason try and understand the logic behind it, if then it still does not feel right then take things further, But you did say in your own words the kid is happy healthy looked after etc. Watershed this next bit is not in any way directed at you personally But in today’s age we often hear people say in the old days you could leave your door open all day and night, u know your neighbours, always popping in and out of each other’s houses or checking if popping to town if anyone needed anything, and how we all wish we could go back to these times, Then something like this raises hit head and most people are call social this or that , string mum up, get the law involved. When all that is really needed is a little dialog and 99% of the time it would sort itself out
  6. That should really read Are you really condoning the unconfirmed suspicions of locking up a 4 year old? Nice.
  7. Is the child waking up and walking about or sleep walking?, I tend to agree with Dajen, and as you have said the child in question is happy healthy well fed and clothed, poss. mum or dad is worried about it little one going walk about in the night and falling down the stairs and braking it neck or worse. Now if he/she looked half staved dirty in rags that would be a different matter Also you say the parent is a friend, so rather than first think about the legality of it or social services, just ask her why, you can say you don’t feel it right but there probable a good if misguided reason behind it
  8. I do kind of agree with you, though i think Sainsbury’s can carry it as they are big supporters of the British royal legion, In an ideal world everyone in the uk will get that bar of chocolate as a Christmas gift that way helping to rise even more money.
  9. well just watched the add on the train into work this morning and no i did not cry ( was a total crying mess for about 20 min) they really hit home with this Christmas add and win hands down the Christmas tv add battle see what you lot think http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWF2JBb1bvM&feature=player_detailpage xxx

  17. thanks both for the Oasis recomedation, Stalham never really figures on my radar, as we allways hire from richardsons so allways associated with the start and end of our holdays, i think this year i will chance that and explore it a bit.
  18. thanks Alan, i find a buzy place 9 time out of 10 is a good place to eat so may well give the star of india a go this time
  19. Morning all hope all is well, now your advice and recommendation please, Indian restaurants. Every year we would always make a habit of mooring in lodden for the night one of my fave spots in the world and we combine that with a fantastic curry at the Dilraj, however when we visited last September last year, I have to say I was very disappointed with the food, really cheap watery chicken, all the dishes just had a level of heat but no flavour or taste just mild medium and hot, plus the place was empty it was really not good, not like the many visits we had there before, I thought it could have just been a bad night but on further investigation the following morning I found out that it had recently changed hand and there was also a new chef. So my question is twofold has it improved any from last September and back to its glory days, or failing that where else on the boards can I get a Indian meal preferably a sit down but will have takeout too, that is/was as good as the old Dilraj or better. Thanks in advance
  20. We allways try to hire a diffrent boat, again exclusively from richardsons, but went we booked for october this year, there was not the amount of boats that normaly showup, so we booked broadland breeze again, we had here before and we know she is clean and comftable, and blue. can not wait now less than 600 hours to go lol
