  15. Quote" Firstly, I'd recommend that there is NO LIMIT to either the number of pictures any one member submits, and that when the pics are being voted for, the photographer remains anonymous. It doesn't matter if one photographer has several pics voted for, It just means he's good at it ! " Are ladies allowed to enter as well??
  16. I did have a lady stop outside our house and ask where pleasurewood hills was. ( About 40 miles away). When recommended a more sensible route than single track roads. She said "oh no I don't want to use motorways."..!!!! What she meant was she wouldn't drive on motorways or dual carriageways.
  17. Now Timbo you know they have changed the alphabet, we are missing for instance the letters ETH, THORN, and WYNN. ( I've got no chance of displaying the correct letter shapes on this tablet) And it's the reason he correct pronounciation of Menzies is roughly meng-is because the old letter for the ng sound was not in the new imported printed alphabet set, the nearest shape was the z. Well that's roughly the idea, I'm sure you have a more accurate reply than what I've just said.
  18. Barbara is on the edge of arriving here on the broads looking at Xcweather, but we should only get just under 50mph winds. Weybourne is gusting 33mph at the moment.
  19. Zulu Time? You'd have to ex miltary to know what that means..
  20. I've been watching the weather for several days as I've a lot of driving to do over the next few days, I also looked up some of My old Haunts on XCweather, that puts AVERAGE windspeeds on Benbecula at some times over 70MPH, that means the gusts will be over 100. I was there once when the met office there recorded 126mph. The steel framed building was swaying....I was on the third floor.
  21. So did I, no windows in this lab....
  22. I drove on a bit of the NDR last week.... well across a roundabout at Horsford. The holes and ditches dried out on the Coltishall road last week quite quickly. There is now TARMAC!! proceeding across the countryside between the Wroxham road and Coltishall road but not joined at either end just yet.
  23. SWMBO just says she's National spirtualist and for some reason they do a runner.. she's not though but her mother was...
  24. The wiring on that telegraph pole looks like many of the undersides of model railway layouts too....
