The Life And Times Of My Third Boat Called Nyx
CambridgeCabby replied to MauriceMynah's topic in Broads Chat
If door opening is restricted then the door can be cut in half and planed then a piano hinge can be placed between the two halves creating a folding hinged door as used on many cruisers -
At ten years old and an outdoors cat sadly the chance of Taxi becoming a house (well boat) cat are virtually zero, and he won’t be happy being unable to roam , personally I would have a word with near neighbours explaining the situation and see if anyone would be prepared to adopt him . That failing then you could try having him as a live aboard cat but be prepared for him to decide he would rather live a feral existence and for him to disappear.

Return Of The Horning Pleasurecraft Name

Wise words , no need to speculate when the MD of the company is an active member on here , I’m sure he will update us all when he feels the time is right . -
Have a great day

Reminds me of the Guy Martin programme where he built a Spitfire , it took a retired tool maker in his late 70’s to make some specialised bolts for him as they could not be obtained anywhere else in the U.K.

There is , I believe , a window of sorts under the helm seat . It would be nice to see some internal photos

Back aboard after my visit to The Maltsters , it’s looking very clean and fresh ,but, to me a bit sterile . Food that i had , braised beef dish, was pleasant but nothing special I’ve had far worse but also had better for less . Beer as always excellent

Was up bright and early this morning , nice and warm due to the oil filled radiators , four boats now moor on the green , left at 09:00 ,after a cooked breakfast , mug of tea in hand , slow cruise to Ludham and bliss I could squeeze under , motored on to Boulters for some diesel (Ludham sold out until Monday) , then on to ......... ...... yup Ranworth , taxi rank full so asked if it was ok to moor in front of them to enable me to be side on , no problem was his response . So now moored up , on the electric for the evening , may sample the new menu at the Maltsters this evening and enjoy the resurrected fire place .
