  1. I have the tin, the photo was indeed an old one just to indicate the type of product.

    No hardener, no gloves etc.

Definitely not to be used anywhere other than well ventilated outside but that's what I want it for.

The filler itself looks very smooth and is a really good bright white colour, it's like looking into a can of brilliant white gloss paint.

Be a few days before I get to try it but will let you know how well it applies and dries etc.

  2. Gimmick? Essential? Somewhere in between?

My boat came with a GI unit externally mounted on the outside of the transom. It's ugly and I'm going to remove it.

At a pinch I could open the case and use the components inside it as an inline device somewhere near the consumer unit.... But I'd rather not bother!

New anodes were fitted a month ago. At a very basic level I understand what it does but with an anode do I need it?

I’m not a massive football fan and my wife even less so, but we both watched the England teams progress through the competition with a sense of pride and patriotism.  Whilst sport may not be everyone’s cup of tea, it provided a diversion from the gloom and doom of the past 18 months and gave many a sense of hope.  There have been few occasions over the past few years where the country has united behind a team to such a degree.  The end result wasn’t what we hoped for, but at least we got further than in 2016.

Lets hope for some British success in the Olympics.  There are many sports that I have no interest in, but anything to give the public a reason to have pride in the people that are representing our country in such a prestigious event is surely something to be applauded.

That is my take on it exactly, word for word 👍 🍺

Presently moored on the island at Womack Water.  It's all a bit odd, or we are very lucky.   Just popped in at about 1700 on the off chance and lo and behold.  We've also moored at Gaye's Staithe, Paddy 's, Sutton Staithe, that brilliant wild mooring near Wayford (hat tip to Grif or Robin), could have got in at Thurne, spurned the vacancy at Irstead, and failed at Dilham! At this rate, stern on at Ranworth will be a cinch.  It has been raining a bit, mind you, so nothing's perfect.  Oh, and we are flying the NBN burgee/pennant, so perhaps that's the secret.

    Buy a lottery ticket 🤞

  5. I imagine that Marina and the nurses have already told you off for turning the machine off Ian

You know the rules, stay where you are and do what you're told and that way you have a whole army on your side in the fight.

Stay positive and look forward, we are all sending our best possible wishes.

  6. I found this list on another site - it is dated 2019 so you would need to check ahead.

Cox's boat yard at Barton Turf
    George at Ludham Bridge
The yard on South Walsham Broad
    Waverney River Centre
    Oulton Yacht Station
    Norwich Yacht Station

It was also suggested that there is a list in The Green Book (if anyone has a copy)

Finally it is possible that one of the caravan sites may allow emptying for a small fee.

Once it is empty and clean it can be sold as suggested or if you just want to get rid of it I guess a council run waste facility is the answer (or offer it free on Facebook/Ebay/Craigslist... collection only and problem solved!) 🙂
