  1. Waters Edge was a wind up but yes, Surlingham Ferry is about all that's left and they do have a fire. ....however looking at it again I don't think it is Surlingham. It is a puzzle this one. Not back at The Bell surely? They do have a fire
  2. Exactly what me and Mrs N thought. I've never known the Ferry sell Wolf but you never know. Do they not have a stove though?
  3. That other one is a killer though. As I say Wolf isn't massively common on the Broads. I think I've seen it in the Ship too but they don't have a fire. It'll probably turn out to be the Waters Edge
  4. I agree, only one pub I can think of with brickwork like that
  5. Hmmmm, not many pubs sell Wolf and have a fire. The pub which sells Wolf probably more than any other is the Dog but it doesn't look right. The Bridge has started selling a guest ale but the fires not right. I'll have a wild guess and say the Beauchamp If not I think we'll have to leave it to Mr ECIPA
  6. I think the wine one is the Loddon Swan
  7. Right hand pic shouts Waveney Oulton Broad........
  8. Enjoying a few sherberts with Mrs Nog in our local so I anticipate the quality of our contributions to deterioate as time goes on Is Lou your middle name Grace petal?
  9. You've done it now JF! Mrs Nog has been at the Play Store And guess what she's got.........
  10. Swan at Loddon Mr Fire Sir? Excellent pub, Humpty Dumpty
  11. Agree with OG it's quite an old boat which probably accounts for the price. Having said that HW keep their boats in good order. We hire from them every February and barring the fish barrier fiasco can't fault them for service.
  12. Oooooo, er there's been good ones already, certainly had me and Mrs Nog scratching our heads Have a good time next week and keep them coming. Be interesting if you could get to the Locks, I'd like to find out what's going on there.
  13. Still musing on that one JF - still, I'll have a stab at Wherry Hotel, Oulton Broad.....
  14. We were indeed JF but inspired in the end. It was a good one.
  15. Well done JF - some tough cookies there however............me and Mrs Nog have put our collective thinking caps on..... and No1 is the Lady of the Lake (or the BITD)
  16. Waters Edge! Only joking, currently conferring with Mrs Nog................
  17. I think it's at the head of Stalham Dyke next to Richardsons but I'll stand to be corrected!
  18. Just out of curiosity where did you moor in Wroxham JF? I've a feeling Faircraft Loynes (where we normally moor) only allow hire riff raff? I'm guessing the Bridge was a no no with the high river levels?
  19. Fascinating film, many thanks to Carol and to Trambo for posting the link. Much credit to Video Impact too who very kindly transfer the films for Carol. Agree with Vaughan, much of interest. The old Wayford Bridge which you don't see very often. I was fascinated by the bit of portage towards the end, it looks as if they pulled the dinghy round the lock at Coltishall as that bridge is above it. They got around to the remains of the mill too. Nice shot of the Horseshoes open and doing a brisk trade. it must have been closed for years now. Lots of flappy stuff around too! Wonderful bit of nostalgia.
  20. I'd have a look for him in the Kings Head LL (just stick your head around the door and shout FIRE! - or GRACE....)
  21. ........hold up, its the same pub! Kings Head
  22. Second one is Kings Head, Hoveton Woodforde's finest beer too Having a think about the first one............
