  1. The market for private boats is often for smaller 2 to 4 berth types. The folk who can afford a boat tend (not always) to be older and maybe want it for a couple and maybe grand kids occasionally. Certainly larger boats do sell but I suspect that when the bigger boats do eventually get sold off they will not command such a premium as the 2 - 4 berth types.
  2. Course not JF!!!! Yorkshire tha knows. Flurry of snow? No problem.
  3. That could come back and haunt you yet JF
  4. Entirely agree. Use them or lose them JF That's my boy happens to Mrs Nog all the time Mind you one of the many advantages of winter cruising is that there are not too many boats to be confused by! Nice coming back and finding it covered in snow too
  5. I belive they do use the same server
  6. Guess who had come off his night shift Also Dave will kill us hijacking his thread (again) Mrs Nog is awake JF Be very afraid....................
  7. I might revert to the Nog one so I match up with Mrs N. Mind you Christmas cometh soon..........

  10. It does look to be a Playstation 1 - had a quick look on ebay, looks to be quite collectable, might need to break open the piggy bank Dave
  11. Wot a star. I shall be back to check his Broadland Sunrise
  12. I wouldn't trust the BA tide information particularly after they published the high water times by mistake a while back. Always use this site, very informative and utterly reliable in my experience http://www.norfolk-broads.org/index.htm
  13. According to Craig's database it was an Alphacraft fleet boat originally. I did a bit of a double take as Swancraft sold one recently. Good boats, when those numbers come up they would be on my shopping list (dream on)
  14. Good grief! Extra lottery ticket this weekend me thinks. Mind you I bet the running costs would stack up Incredible place though. I bet opportunities like that don't come up very often.
  15. No, one of the shotgun toting winter residents JF You should try it up here in flat cap land, the sawdust on the pub floor is last night's furniture Ah, as Mrs Nog pointed out, we're like the SAS - you never know when we might appear
  16. I wont disagree with that!! I think JM and ECIPA have it pretty much covered between them. Running the Locks must be a heck of a challenge and if Colin did decide enough was enough I suppose you can't blame him. Equally he will be extremely difficult to replace. For security I guess someone would have to live there all year round. It will be very interesting to see what happens. Ironically I understand that there was a point where John and Tracy were paying twice as much in rent as Colin. But then look who was their landlord....... Not sure that we'll get that far down in winter JF - usual train to Beccles job from JM land I suspect...... besides I don't want to get shot going through Beccles
  17. I think it has been in the pipeline JF but not heard anything recently It could be a lot worse, it could have been Greene King Grain do some good beers but if they have let Colin Smith go than I think that is a mistake However the Cottage and the Plough are OK
  18. Don't get him started again M! We're in enough bother with Robin already!
  19. Aw, thanks CC. No worries, give you another excuse to call in. The celebrations will no doubt be continuing as I believe Phil's birthday will be coming up shortly, early December if memory serves. Please tell him the Nog's were asking after him when you see him next
  20. Good move If you see Phil can you ask him to get some Broadland Sunrise on order pls
