  1. This is creating a lot of interest at Beccles Yacht Station.
  2. Back again, as said on my own, just had two days servicing an cleaning inside the boat, a quick cruise about this morning to make sure all ok. had a run up past the old bridge structure outside Beccles turned round and up to the Locks, over 9' under Beccles old bridge when i went through. Just a few photos. A new pontoon at the Locks for the paddleboarders. It will need a high tide to get that boat back in.
  3. Very low in Beccles this morning, over 9' under the old bridge when i went through, just enjoying a coffee moored at the Locks.
  4. Is that Chapelfield shopping centre, have they changed the name?
  5. Still cant get my head round the new rules, the're changing all the time, i'll check with Stephen at the weekend, he thought he would have to clean his tank out and only supply white from April.
  6. Won't be good, After 1st April only white will be available, we can use up the red we have, but can't buy anymore red.

    Beccles

Hi Howard, you're selling Beccles short only mentioning those three pubs, although the best there's also, The Kings Head (Wetherspoons) Bear and Bells, Wine Vaults to name three more, and as mentioned The Waveney house Hotel, other establishments are also available. Paul.
  8. Still on my 1st boat, had it 15 years this year, But when we bought it i said it's got my name on it.
  9. Is there a bank account that could be used for a money transfer? or would that cost as well.
  10. Oh, if you mean why i replied it was just to let you know where Clive's mooringsare.
  11. PM Clive on here, If you mean Paul 'Richardsons' it's nothing to do with them now. Clive is independant.
  12. Had a great night in the Bridge last Saturday. 6 of us booked in for meals all great. Beers good too.
  13. Clive has space at Brundall, I was looking at moving this year so contacted him, also thought about moving north but after lots of pondering we have decided it's too nice at Beccles to go, even after over 10 years there for me , will be stopping longer. Paul.
  14. Back in Beccles now so that's another trip over, going home tomorrow due to both of us suffering from a bad cold. It's only february and already had 3 trips across Breydon and back this year, that must be more than i've done in one year yet. Next time i'll be on my own for a full cleaning, servicing and maintenance visit ready for the rest of the season. Paul.
  15. They can throw all the money and resources they need to get the trains running again, but what about Somerleyton bridge now shut for boats for several weeks.
  16. Glorious morning leaving Rockland and heading back to Beccles.
  17. Still not rough enough across Breydon, was rougher heading towards the Beuchamp arms. Left Andy safely at Peachments. Now at Rockland st mary.
  18. It was when we left Acle at 07.30. quite bad until we were just before Yarmouth, a good run across Breydon, now heading towards the sugar factory. Thanks, Paul.
  19. So we left St Olaves at 06.30 just as light was showing. Passed Goodchilds at 07.25 then across Breydon passing the Yacht station at 08.15 just as i hoped, caught the tide change perfectly, only upset for me was a smooth crossing of Breydon, would have liked a rough one. Now at Acle bridge for the night then back across Breydon tomorrow heading for Brundall. Photo's from today.
  20. Not worried about a bit of cold, it's the winds that are worrying me having to assist a boat back across Breydon on Sunday.
  21. After a horrible wet morning getting ready to leave the yard it cleared up for a nice cruise to St Olaves. Now moored on the free moorings, unfortunatly the electric post looks like it's tripped out from the high tides. Somerleyton bridge is still out of order, With 7'6 close to high tide i could get under dropping everything down, glad it wasn't raining then.
