  13. anyone on the river this bank holiday could visit barton regatta, this event is not for the faint hearted, loads of sailies and even more cruisers, navigating from one end to the other can be quite daunting for anyone new to the broads but in my opinion it is well worth a visit
  14. the last bridge you will see on your way from yarmouth to loddon will be reedham swing bridge, there are no bridges on the river chet. there are loads of moorings on the approach and also in loddon, and turning is not a problem. a very pleasant stopover with several pubs and places to eat, lots of dog walking available and well worth a visit

  16. amazing, it will take a month to digest that
  17. you are correct about the windboat connection fred as i hired from wayford in 1969 on a boat called "CONCORDE" which was a ferrocrete wind boat. following on from what jill said regarding mike harveys death in a glider, the owner of the yard over the river, john linford, also died in a light aircraft accident, now that yard was a blakes, known as neatishead boatyard
  18. well, well it could be harvey eastwoods at brundal, but i am leaning toward thorpe for some reason, probably wrong on both counts
  19. it must be somewhere on the dilham canal ???
