  1. Very true the shorts will protect the intimate areas
  2. Wish I'd known about the dawncraft, would of been able to get some spare parts off it.
  3. Yeah had a good look around the museum, bought B.I.L a lifejacket and some mooring rope and got a dremel bench press for my brother. I imagined it would be like the irelands auctions in Wroxham so took plenty of cash. Atleast the missus will be happy I didn't spend more than a couple quid
  4. Misleading title. I turned up ready for an auction only to find a car boot. Now on way to Arminghall for a look around. P.s bought B.I.L a lifejacket.
  5. I agree with Poppy on this one. I've been turned away when I tried to Moor there for lunch after it had its refit. I Was told "your not mooring here in that" ( refering to my boat). On a seperate occasion my mum and her staff were turned away when they tried to dine there on a charity walk they were doing. My regular haunts are surlingham ferry, lovely pub, great food and the friendliest staff and recently Coldham Hall. Both level ground with easy access. Best food I've had was at Reedham ferry. Ordered a rack of ribs and the waiter came to the table with a bowl of water with a lemon slice in. I drank the bowl of water, was very refreshing. Turns out it was put there to wash the ribs off fingers. Shows how cultured I am hahaha. Branden
  6. Does anyone know the latest time you can register? I'm not going to be able to get there till 9.15 don't mind missing the first few items aslong as I can bid on the rest. Branden
  7. My apologies. Having the electric start has been an absolute godsend, no more bruised elbows when pullstarting although it does pull extremely easily if needed. The outboard sits quite far back in the engine bay so I had to cut off some more fibreglass at the back so that it would fit. I have a fingers width of space between the outboard and the back of the engine bay. As far as engine with boat, the steering is greatly improved. The boat seems to love the outboard. The pee pipe unfortunately sprays into the engine bay when turning and some water goes into the gas locker which I'll have to address at some point. Otherwise I've been getting loads of use out of it so far so money well invested. Plus the wife now trusts the boat again so she's been coming out on it with the kids which has been amazing. Branden
  8. If you click the bit that say Time for another it should send you to the page.
  9. If you follow the link and scroll down to the photos you can see the difference as to where the outboard sits before and after I adapted the engine bay.
  10. Hi Pia, 9.9 will be perfect. Have you taken a measurement in your engine bay to double check what size shaft you need? I've seen dandys for sale with long shafts and I've run mine with one in the past but it is designed for a short shaft. Underneath the boat in the centre is completely flat and with a short shaft the engine sits safely in this area so if you ground the boat the engine won't get damaged. The boat runs alot better with a short shaft. I got my outboard new from yatchshop but if you want new you can go to any dealer. The reason I ended up getting a new one is the real lack of affordable used short shafts in Norfolk. P.s I adapted my engine bay for a longshaft in the past as couldn't afford a short shaft. Only took 10minutes to cut and fit. Branden

    Fishing.

It's impossible to argue with that logic. If waiting longer for the fish to breed means more bigger healthy fish to catch later in the season then it's got to be worth the wait. Branden

    Fishing.

I've never tried fly fishing before but have plenty of books on it so may have to give that a go branden

    Fishing.

I river fish when the weathers good, sea fish in winter and moan like s*** in the closed season as I absolutely hate lake fishing. It's easy enough to fish year round if your willing to travel. I agree somewhat about the closed season being silly but only on the basis that it doesn't seem to be in-line with the actual breeding time of the fish. Branden
  15. Thanks for the heads up. I Love a good auction.
  16. It's been happening for a while now. Branden
  17. I was just wondering if anyone else is finding that they have to click the submit reply button twice when posting on their phone. I have to click twice everytime I post and have a feeling it may lead to duplicate posts at some point. Branden

  20. Careful berney, not allowed to name and shame I'm afraid.
  21. More likely to come across a machete man than an axe murderer on a boat
  22. How many KFC or McDonald's keep a record of their customers and their vehicles. It's completely different. No one's saying it's the hire yards rubbish being dumped it's the hirers. The idea behind telling the yard is that they would have the details of the people who dumped the rubbish and would therefore be able to mention that a member of the public had reported them when they hand the keys back. If someone borrowed your car for a holiday drive and started using it to fly tip I'm sure you'd want to know. Branden
  23. Keep an eye out down Thorpe river green. Bound to be a few dingies for spares on Gumtree soon.
