  1. I may be wrong, but I think you can request to have an image blurred on street view
  2. Sounds like the area I used to live, I had a roll of artificial grass stolen while I was taking the other roll into the garden. I couldn't of been anymore than 30-45 seconds.
  3. All boaters are skint, but all boaters find the funds when it comes to their boats. If no sales are made each person who sees the product is bound to tell there boaty mate who in turn will tell another boaty mate and so on and so on until someone's interest is peaked and there's your customer. Good luck at the jumble it's bound to pay off in the long term. Branden
  4. This is the closest to a decent image I could find. http://www.baadgalleri.dk/galleri/3998-vanguard_thunderjet_solgt_
  5. The infamous HD brow. When my wife sports the look I simply smile which she takes to mean they look good, not knowing the smile is from me laughing on the inside trying not to let the chuckle out. My advice, never make a direct comment, give vague cryptic responses. Branden
  6. Robin raised a good point. Using Google maps or any GPS app will definitely help give a good idea of location at night on the Broads. I use the cyclemeter app on my iPhone for navigation if needed. Shows location and speed in point of a mph eg 4.3mph.
  7. Exactly the reason why this topic was started. To see if a hire boat could navigate at night aslong as it had nav lights. The answer is no. As you say hire boats are not allowed to navigate at night. I was trying to convey a reason as to why I think hire boats shouldn't risk night navigation.
  8. I was referring to the size and shape of Boat. If a hire boat has a forward helm spotlight or not they won't be able to see say they're right rear corner of the boat. Private owners know there boats and know there size shape and maneuverability. Hire boaters would find this harder. Branden
  9. I've flicked the spotlight on twice, both times on my first journey to Oulton broad. The first near St olaves so I wouldn't hit the bridge support the second was when I got to Oulton broad as I was heading straight for a moored sailing boat without realising. I got a spotlight flicked back at me at Oulton and I'll admit.... My God it was bright. I agree insurance or not, hire boats shouldn't navigate at night as it's too much of a risk to everyone on the water. I know alot of hirers have loads of experience and hours at the helm but at the end of the day it isn't theyre boat they're taking the risk with. Unless they hire the same boat week after week for years, each boat must handle differently and these subtle differences could result in misjudgement with night navigation.
  10. Good luck to anyone trying to use a fake Scottish note. Took me months to get someone to take a real Scottish £5 I had in my wallet.
  11. Should be fine if it only affects national parks
  12. Put your sim in your old phone. Go on contacts, settings, export contacts to sim. Put sim in new phone, go to contacts, settings, import sim contacts or go settings, show contacts then pick show sim contacts. If memory serves windows phones prioritise email and Skype contacts so you have to let it know it's a phone and that you want actual phone numbers. Like Paul I didn't keep a windows phone for long, infact my 20month old daughter now uses it for taking photos. Branden
  13. I did my good deed for the day. A tree had fallen near my daughters playgroup blocking the path and cycle route for the school and anyone heading from city centre to Lakenham asda. Everyone went a different way or climbed over the tree moaning about it. I went and bought a saw spent about an hour sawing through it then dragged it out of the way. Would of been alot quicker if atleast one person had offered to help :/ Branden
  14. Sold all the tools. I have kept the calculimetre to wait and see what it's worth. Thanks for all the information on the tools, I would never of known what they were otherwise. Always amazes me the range on knowledge people on this forum have. Branden
  15. The ba have even started charging tolls on bins by the looks of it.
  16. Fingers crossed. I've just sent some pics to a dealer, if they offer anything over £20 then I'll know it's actually valuable. I've been caught out many times like that then seen the items pride of place in the window with a price tag 10x what I was paid.
  17. Would anyone know anything about the calculimetre. How would you use one? Out of everything it seems the coolest looking tool to me. P.s I only know it's a calculimetre because it's engraved on it
  18. Small update, switch panel in, steering cable fitted and outboard on the back to see how it looks and check steering works. Link arm ordered. That's all for a little while until B.I.L gets some wood for a door, some fibreglass and filler and cables to wire up the electrics.
  19. Hello forumites Ive been tasked with clearing up B.I.L's shed for him and I've come across a few tools I'm clueless about. I'm trying to work out the uses and value of the tools so I can get him some money together towards his project. Also came across a beer pump and a big calor gas bottle he didn't know he had.
  20. On boat. The roof lining came off a few months ago so decided best bet is to clad it and leave it. Branden
  21. So the soudaflex sticks the wood to the hull and prevents rot, shaped to a curve then fibreglassed over. Seems simple enough just have to persuade B.I.L to find some funds to buy it all. On a slightly different note, Would the soudaflex work for roof battens on my boat? I was planning on using 2 part epoxy, screw and as a back up I have gorilla glue, mainly because they're all things I have in the garage. I'll be cladding my roof in a few weeks.
  22. I wasn't sure if we could get away with only glassing in the wood which comes into direct contact with the hull. The bulkhead is attached to wood which is glassed in already. I've always been pants at fibreglassing probably due to improper prep work.
  23. Hi Vaughan here's a pic from the outside of where the running strake was. Branden
  24. Well the table wood is all used up, unfortunately there wasn't enough left for a door so will be on the hunt for some more wood. Helm, wheel and engine controller fitted and floor roughly cut to shape. Also B.I.L finally got a tape measure. Everything so far has been measured and cut by eye
