3200 rpm at 70 is waaay too high. My XK is turning around 1600 at 70 and the XF 1300. XK has 6 gears and 8 pots and 4.2 ltr , I will add that the " go faster" button has not been pressed . XF has 8 gears 6 pots and 3.0 ltrs and none of the 3 ," go faster," buttons have been pressed . Both cars can do 0-60 in 6 seconds and are 300 and 270 bhp respectively. When I picked up the XK I drove it over 300 miles home. It was only in the last 94 miles that I discovered how to re set the trip computer. When I got home I had averaged 27.8 mpg and an average speed of 67 mph ( I had not discovered the "go faster " button) driven from North of England to North Norfolk so pick out of that what you will. I thought that was pretty impressive for a similar era vehicle to Zebedee 👍 Don't generally press any of the "go faster" buttons on the XF but I do now on the XK as a V8 turning over 7k rpm sound's heavenly. XF will regularly return 55+ mpg but it is an oil burner 😳

Surprised he isn't charging an entry fee 😫

Know exactly what you mean. With the soft top. Close the storage box between the front seats and the cup holder lid pops open 😳 At least it proves it was built in Castle Bromwich 🤣

Cos it's Public Sector. They have all the time in the world. Not like the rest of us who have to work to a deadline. Sorry I know I am going off topic but when I ran a residents group opposing the County Council I was issued with many deadlines. The CC said they would reply within a certain timeframe. And then they simply didn't. Then extended that timeframe. And gave us another deadline. Then they missed it again And on and on etc

Absolutely right Bikertov. Is there any wonder why there are soooo many public sector strikes 😳

Glad to hear you have seen the light and ditched that German Stuff 😜 Looking for a tinhat emoji 😁

Seems like my figures were wrong 😩 A re read seems to give an increase of £440,000 to The BA from the NP grant. Not as much as I first thought but still not a number to be sniffed at. I wonder if my prediction will come true and the 13% increase will slip through as usual and BA will quietly drop the proposed mooring charges at Ranworth and Reedham and we will all celebrate having our concerns listened to 😣 Until next year's inflation busting increase. 😫
-
Extra £1 m + for the BA in the National Park grant. Unexpected bonus 😜 Good this National Park thingy isn't it? Can't see it effecting our decision on the dinghy though 😩
-
Oops. Thought you had some news 😩

If you mean what I think you mean then 👍😁🍺

Thanks Guys for bumping this thread. Just like the rest of you mine has gone up 13 % 😫 As I have said before good old Norfolk Business Plan. Numbers decreasing ( income declining) so squeeze the remaining ones until the pips squeak. 😣 Having serious discussions about leaving our dinghy in the shed this year . Over £85 for a 4 sq m inflatable 😩 . Mind you I should still be in the black if I visit Ranworth 9 times and mudweight instead of mooring alongside. Has anyone who is in contact with the " Reform The Broads " Facebook group anything they can share. I am aware there are things going on behind the scenes, and IMHO that is the correct way to proceed , but as not a FB user there may be something I have missed. No pressure for information but if there is anything that can be shared I would appreciate it. 👍

Hi Roy. I'm afraid the Carvery at Sutton is long gone. 😣 -
Been there again this evening 😊 Beer excellent, but then I am a bit of a fan of Adnams Ghost Ship , other Adnams beers available. Food is just excellent, nothing special just good food done well.👍

Really impressed with the wind deflector in my soft top. 👍 Can go to around 80 ish (not specifying what units 🫣) without undue wind in the hair and I stand , or rather sit, at 5'10" . No good for the Hooligan in the back as we have to remove it though and stick to 70 and just have to see his ears flapping in the wind 😁 No good for Zebedee I suppose as no back seats for children with no legs, unlike mine 😫
-
But it isn't. The point some of us are trying to make is that with 6' 8 " showing on Potter Bridge I and many others were good to go. Now we don't see even 6'6" that I would still go at 😫

Try typing in Aweigh. Good app 👍

http://www.histarmar.com.ar/Pinturas/Merkel-Capitan.htm Which one is me? I know Mrs FF thinks the wife one is very true.😥 Wonder if the Hooligan Labrador thinks the dog one is correct 😂

Difference with Wroxham is that there is no alternative to the bridge. There is at Potter.🫣

I did float the idea of having a small bar there in the past seeing as how there was frequently quite a lot of hire boats overnighting at Richardson's due to the lack of available moorings in this part of the system. What prompted me was it was a beautiful sunny day and many were just chilling on their boats. Just a few chairs and tables plus a fridge and some sun shades would do it. And if there is a cafe in place already there is somewhere to go if the weather turns inclement. Management were not adverse to this idea.

I am not wedded to the idea that dredging the lower Bure is the answer as I don't really know enough about it to have a strong opinion. However there does seem to be a strong contingent that believes that this is a solution. So why not give it a go? The worst thing that could happen is that the lower Bure gets deeper.😥 Or am I missing something here?

Hope it is a success . The previous one was.👍
