I think the Broom 35 is a super boat , but at a price!
The Broom 30 looks good from the outside but I reckon its a fair weather boat.
-
the Leboat boats are nice things but would not fit under Ludham so are not an option for us
The Haines boat is 14 feet wide and 9 feet high,
They just sound like excuses to me ;-)

I have had many a happy holiday at Potters over the last 20years!
Had the odd one from Richardsons as well!
Must find the wine place next year......

There's often an argument put forward that to get the best people, you need to pay the best salaries.
Do we think we've got the best people in the BA?
.
Looking at their annual report I actually thought the top salaries were on the low side.
-
I personally very much doubt that the BA have had any "Business Class Travel" in the last couple of years.
For anybody that is interested the BA are very transparent in the money they spend-just google it. It is published up until August 2013.

There was an update put in Facebook last night -something to do with a piece if software updating which has stopped another bit to stop working.
So hopefully nothing too sinister.

No can of worms but I can't see an update on their Facebook page?
-
Neil, to be honest that has to be up there with the best of them!
I will endeavour to pay more attention when filling up in future though as easily done....

Forgetting I had stored the inflatable dinghy in the roof as we approached Somerleyton Bridge with the tide up our chuff.
Full astern steering with bow thrusters is not something I want to repeat in a hurry.
To top it off I was steering from the upper deck......

Would they though? Less boats surely means less to maintain? Less moorings needed, less patrolling needed, less BA admin in areas like tolls, less bank erosion caused etc etc.
-
Sorry bit no way would a system where hire boats only pay for when they are on hire work. It would be an administration nightmare and as revenues still need to be maintained it would only rack all the prices up, no?
How about toll booths on the new cut?
-
I know people say that hireboats are used the most but i can't see how that can be proved or even measured? I would have thought the most "used" boats would be the liveaboards with no home mooring? Or even syndicate boats?
No real answer to how we measure usage though? You could to away with tolls on motorised boats and then add a surcharge to fuel sales but you could easily get around this.

I quite like Yarmouth but with two little children I have never stopped at the yacht station as they are no good on a ladder when the tide is out!
-
Personally I can't see how tracing the Hampton would help as you can't prove they are connected from that video.
Also this was some time ago-is it back in the news because there has been a court case or progress?
-
The other option I had considered was underwater matrix boards....
But julz's idea does make more sense!

Stupid question time......
Do the fish just naturally go into the yard as salt water comes up the river or does raising the barrier only protect the fish that just happen to be in there?
Or are their tannoy announcements for the fish to make their way to the yard...........
-
They are good for estuary cruising apparently.

Clive-I tried sending you a PM on this but it won't let me send as apparently you are not accepting new messages...
Could you send me one or an email address I can use to ask some questions?
Ta.

From the WRC Twitter account:
@WaveneyRiver: New managers Lynne & Neale at #WaveneyInn from Sunday - drop in to support them and help find their feet! Bar only from Sun, food from Weds.

I would say it depends on the type of BBQ-we have had many an onboard BBQ using out Cobb.
-
It was £10 this year. Electric is on top but you get unlimited use of the best toilet and shower facilities on the broads IMHO.

Sorry Alan I'm not implying it was wrong-The chap that works there (is it Alan as well?) plugged it in!
-
The river side of the basin has electric posts-cards from the shop, not BA cards. I have seen a boat (Ranworth breeze none the less!) plugged into one of the camping pitches whilst moored on the swimming poolside.
