If We Venture North.

Deb and I are off for a week in September and contemplating at trip to the northern rivers on Lady P. 

While on the southern rivers we can work out moorings when up for a week to incorporate shower facilities as we know where they are.

My question is are there any facilities available for private boats up north?

Hi Steve,

I know of shower facilities at Richardsons and Herbert Woods. I feel sure that there would be no objection to mooring in the yard if you asked about using the showers.

what dates are you thinking of as we will be up north at the end of Sept.?

Showers are available in the Hotel Wroxham. You are given a room for an hour. Used to be a fiver but last year it was a tenner. I am told it's well worth it though!

Richardson's showers are 09.00 _ 17.00 only. Herbert Woods are coin op and available 24/7 as in not locked overnight.

If you get up to Horsey Mere (well worth the trip if you get under the bridge) there is a shower. It's by token from the gift shop and you get a key which you return. It's technically 24/7 as you have a key but it's only lit by daylight!

Thurne Lion has a shower (in the gents anyway - I have no knowledge of the Ladies) Kathy has just assured me they have one too!

Jeff we are going up fri 9th for a few days. Tides look good to go north sat and the back Tuesday or Wednesday.
