Pearsons Boatyard

Hello All,

 Saw in the EDP a few weeks ago that the Pearsons Boat Yard was coming up for auction on the 21st july: Former boatyard, outbuildings and storage, and extensive river frontage and dyke. Guide: £150,000-£180,000. Has anyone heard anything?

I Thought the guide was a bit low but it did not include the two houses on the site which sold seperatly for about 150k each making an overall price of 540k

Hello Boatingman,

 That sounds about right, the pictures didn't show any houses. They make a big difference. l can't remember how long ago Pearsons folded, but it would be interesting to know what the property and land would have gone for back then!

On the linked thread I believe around the year 2000.

Yes their last season hiring was 2000 although I don't know if they carried on any other form of business after that.
