Chelsea14Ian
Just started today,Women at war.June Brown (Dot Cotton)was in the WRNS,during the war.She was speaking to women like herself ,who served during the war and women that serve now.A good little programme. In the beginning she was unsure about the role women take in the modern Navy.By the end her opinion had changed. The programme ended with her on a patrol ship by Excal. They even let her take the ship for a spin around the dock. This is the first of six.Its on 9.15am BBC 1. FairTmiddlin
Having Met June Brown on many occasions I can say that although you expect to hear Dot she is not like her in any way. She is the most endearing lady no visions of stardom about her in any means. It's like talking to a long lost aunt. Lovely Lady

Lovely Lady Saw her on a documentary a while ago (possibly who do they think they are) and she certainly came across as a lovely person

MauriceMynah
Shouldn't the title of this thread read "Women at war, 3000+ years of of marriage" ?
TheQ
The next one is think on the WRAF, of which SWMBO was a member. Some of it was filmed at RAF Boulmer, in Northumberland, but on the equipment that replaced, the equipment we used.... Some of the older equipment shown in the historic films was familiar too, although not the models we used.
