New £10 Notes

These new £10 notes need treating carefully, I have had several at a time from the post office and when they're pristine new they tend to stick together. I have found a couple  of times it's  easy to hand over £20 instead of £10.

I've  mentioned this to several people and they all agree, so beware and check carefully how much you are handing over.

I have yet to hear from anyone who likes the new bank notes even the bank tellers do not like counting the new notes, the £5.00 note was counterfeited within a week but I have not heard reports concerning the new £10.00 note.

Not long and the 20 pound note will be replaced. Early next year I think

Heard yesterday that the old £10 notes cease to be legal tender on 1st March next year

I think that, unlike the old pound coin, most the old fivers and tenners have virtually disappeared already as the life of the notes was pretty short.

No matter how good the technology goes into making the new notes, there will always be someone somewhere who can copy it

thats not just bank notes these days anything can be copied, I rarely buy from eBay now.
