marshman
Good to see that harbinger of Spring, the cuckoo, is on its way back from West Africa. I guess that fewer and fewer will make it back, but at least Norfolk remains a place you can still hear them! https://www.bto.org/science/migration/tracking-studies/cuckoo-tracking
JennyMorgan
I heard very few last year. Allegedly those of us who don't hear a cuckoo stand no chance whatsoever of surviving the year out. I was getting quite worried last year!
TheQ
I normally don't hear them until the weekend of the 3 Rivers Race..
Ray
Nothing yet.. oddly before I moved to Norfolk I used to hear them very early in London, well the suburbs anyway.
addicted
We have a cuckoo who returns each year to somewhere very near our mooring on Brundall Bay marina. I'm always so relieved to know it's made it back again We usually hear it about now. I don't think we'll be hearing it any time soon as Tony has contracted a really nasty virus which is preventing us from getting to the boat. My daughter has had it for about 7 weeks so I can't see us going anywhere any time soon. Carole
