Castle Moorings (above Wroxham)

BA news says that the Authority have taken over the Castle Moorings (next to Caen Meadow above Wroxham). Work is to be carried out with completion later this summer. From memory, this is only a small mooring for only 2/3 boats and at the back of my mind I seem to recall that it was a BA mooring way back - memory might be faulty there though! Any extra mooring has to be a good thing anyway.

I find mooring at Wroxham so frustrating, I need the bridge marker at 7' 6" to go upstream but there is nowhere to moor and I end up just turning round and going away with an unhappy crew who couldn't go shop.

Haven't gone upstream once yet in this boat!

I had a walk up there a while back and shed a few tears over the Castle. A proper pub and it did good pub meals back in the day. Anyway this will be the mooring. Not a huge amount of it although it would be quite peaceful I would imagine. Its a fair hike if you wanted to walk into Wroxham/Hoveton though.
