Tripper Switch

Hi to the Forum When using On Shore Power the Tripper Switch keeps on Tripping the On Shore Power being used why.? As I'm on a Hired Boat having nice chug on the Broads

Either you are exceeding the 16a available power or there is a fault somewhere

Have you checked the plugs are clean both ends.  If you have nothing turned on ring the yard.

Can you try a different post to see if it's the post that's faulty? 

Alternatively turn everything off, plug in and then turn stuff back on one at a time to see what trips it

Call the yard out, I'd leave it till the morning if you can. It's a hire boat not worth getting to involved with the electrics unless it's something obvious.

Hi had the Boat Yard out first thing to sort the tripper Switch out now got all he Electric working properly.once again thank gord now can carry on Cruising.

Well?  What was the cause of the issue?

Don't tell me it was the on / off switch!

Had mixed blessings with shore power last October. Seemed to work fine in the boatyards we visited, new Inn horning was fine. The BA public moorings we stayed on we didn't seem to do so well. Not sure if we were unlucky or that's the norm. We gave up in the end, to much of a pain in the a..e to be honest.

Glad your up and running again, early season snags I call them Andrew. Virtually all the hire fleets have been sitting about for 4 months now in the cold and damp. Some batteries would  have deteriorated over the winter etc. Ranworth is always a good place to watch Batteries being swapped out by the engineers at Easter lol.
