Thanks for the comments on the SP resto thread.

When we hired a Golden Light in 1978 the cabin tops were a bluey green I seem to remember. The attached photo gives you some idea, I think they were built, possibly pre trackmark ? I am not sure, it is soooo long ago.

tim waters came over yesterday and did the BSS for golden light

im delighted to say that she sailed through it and tim is brilliant and was ready to help if needed.

the pipe that runs between the bottom of the gas locker and hull had become unattached and tim was down there quick as a flash to reconect it

That lovely wooden smell you mention is usually rot - well it is on a boat I know very well!

Boat is looking good. Will be joining the gang on the southern broads over the next 12 months or soonest I can make it happen! We are going for a liveaboard and quitting the consumer society!

If I am going to spend my hard earned pension it may as well be on a boat rather than into the pockets of some self styled hedgefund guru!

i wish GL was looking as good at the mo but she needs a good scrub and a repaint as its now 3 years since the hull

was painted.
