Mind you - I have witnessed plenty of crashing about on the Broads.

 

Polly why do you believe the Broads gives more flexibility - surely that is subjective!

I always thought they tell you to have a "smashing" time on the Broads!

I was hoping next week would be in Scotland and the Wheel.....

 

If Scotland is the week after, Sunday 5th, it will be funny watching them, while I am moored somewhere between Falkirk and Edinburgh....

Me to, Martin. I had always sort of thought it might be interesting but now I'm hooked on the idea.

For this sundays canal trip, it may be best to put subtitles on The Falkirk accent is a strange one, its neither Westie nor Eastie, maybe its to do with it being in the CENTRAL belt

 

Geoff, look at the BBC Weather website, get the factor 5 looked out, double figure temps!

Think I'll stick to Norfolk's very own canal, The New Cut!

I hope they film the Falkirk Wheel properly, its a clever piece of engineering.

The last time I cruised down the New Cut, it appears to be becoming narrower and narrower, (Marker posts) so maybe only fit for narrow boats soon!

I am glad to get to the end of the New Cut, nothing to see, just chugging along for what seems mile upon mile of what feels like a run down waterway in sad need of maintenance.

It even make the journey from Reedham to Breydon almost refreshing.
