How are things going with the reduced refuse collection on the broads? Coming down soon and was wondering how things are going with all the extra people around in the school holidays

A week on the north side,

put our rubbish in bins at Neatishead and then at the yard..

We've not seen any problems on the Southern Broads.

This is at Bramerton a few days ago. The pictures say it all. It's still ok to leave rubbish there, but in danger of becoming a health hazard as it's overflowing.

In Brammerton Parish Council's defence it does say that if the bins are full to take your rubbish with you; but I can't see a 'phone number to call when it's getting full... was there one, please?

 

It also says that if you leave your rubbish on top of the bins it won't be emptied. I think that's a bit harsh as then it would never get emptied!

I wasn't there, a friend of mine emailed the pic. Yes, the sign if interpreted literally is rather nonsensical.

Talking a load of old rubbish as usual.        (sorry)     It was probably the day before it was emptied the reason why it was so full.

Can anyone tell me if there is any news regarding the rubbish issue either on south or north river?

There's been no problem so far (since last Wednesday) either in Beccles or here in Oulton Broad.

 

Although in Beccles the skip closest to the gate was over-flowing, to say the least, and the others were almost empty...   :cry
