boycee
Many of you will know & have come across Bill who until its recent closure was the Landlord of The Lord Nelson Reedham.Sadly Bill passed away last weekend of what I am lead to believe was a stroke but I'm sure all who new him on this forum would like to offer their sincere condolences to Bill's wife Ros & his family. He was a guy who put a lot into the pub particularly in his earlier years with music & beer festivals and I'm sure I & many others were sad to see such a Broads landmark pub close its doors-lets hope its not too long before its refurbished & reopened.RIP old mate. Hockham Admiral
Well said, Alan. We've had some great nights in there with Bill and Ros. The "Rammer's" 50th was one of the best does we've ever attended and Bill and Ros really pushed the boat out on their behalf. RIP indeed, old guy.

loribear
We only met him once, but he seemed a really nice guy & bought me & sandra a couple drinks when we went, & we had quite a laugh, may he rest in peace bless him. Oddfellow
I discovered this yesterday morning whilst chatting with the Sandersons' guys. It is grim news indeed and what with other financial problems with the family around the pub, Roz is at the lowest possible ebb too. Simply awful news. easyrider
R.I.P.Bill. Me and my mate always made it to the Nelson when we were down south. Bill was a true character and a proper gent. My condolences to Ros and family
