C.Ricko
I am surprised that the number is so low compared to the volume of day boats available in just wroxham..
JennyMorgan
They have certainly been neglected over the last few years. There are two operators down there, one does do some work on his boats, the other rather less. Having towed one or two back to the yacht station, or passed on messages to the operators, I do know that things aren't what they used to be. At one time a fellow called Nigel ran the bigger fleet & they were maintained to perfection but unfortunately ill health forced him to sell up. As has been said several are out of the water at the moment so hopefully the corner has been turned.
JennyMorgan
I am surprised that the number is so low compared to the volume of day boats available in just wroxham.. Oulton Broad is not the honeypot that it once was. The riverbus struggles & the day-boats have been neglected. Unfortunately parking restrictions at Oulton Broad have hardly helped the village. The local gift shop has seriously downsized and the coach park is a long walk from the moorings. All a great shame as Oulton Broad has so much to offer with some really good eateries and excellent watering holes. http://www.norfolk-broads-review.co.uk/oulton-broad/ http://www.oulton-broad.com/
C.Ricko
Dad used to like a sunny morning with a slight onshore breeze in the afternoon, the trippers would get annoyed on the beach with the sand blowing in their sandwiches and come to had a day launch for the afternoon! jeffbroadslover
Maybe Clive should get his thinking head on again if there is an chance of showing others how to do it and make a bob or two After all, all you need is somewhere to operate from, some staff to run it, somewhere to park cars, and oh yes, some boats and maintenance crew, and a friendly bank manager to help you pay for it. lol All you need after that is customers.
