Very, very nice looking boat despite not being a member of the Brown Sailed Navy!

I think Peter is coming out of the "sail loft" ( better than saying coming out of the closet lol) This is the second time this week he has posted and commented on two nice stinkies. lol

"Coming out of the sail loft", should be a new Norfolk phrase for sailies converting to power lol.

In the early 2000s I was thinking of buying a wooden cruiser. Three companys were in my sights Kompass, based in Sneek, Friesland, Vikin Marin in Turkey and another in Shri Lanka, (why not stay as Ceylon, used to know all the countries beforethey started calling themselves other names). I abandoned the idea as I decided on a ten year early retirement instead but kept an interest going. I believe Kompas downsized and moved about 2006 and became a victim of the 2008 crisis. They may however have been taken over. Lovely boats.

Goedemorgen en welkom aan boord van ons, RS281168!

It's nice to have a Dutch Member on board the NBN and we'd like to hear more about you. We hope that you have a great time this Summer with your new boat.

Mary-Jane and I had a lovely 3 weeks in Friesland on a Dutch Steel boat 2 years ago. A beautiful cruising area and no locks to go through!  :wave

thanks for looking with me to get information about our new boat,

the company Kompas doesn't exist anymore, but for what I have found

its for 90% sure that the boat is build there,

I just wait for further info to complete the search ;)
