ALAN RICKMAN

Ive just heard on the news, actor Alan Rickman has died at the age of 69. I did`nt catch all the report, as i was on the phone. 

He was brilliant in the Robin Hood film, The way he played the sherriff of Notingham was excellent, with some very humerous moments.

Never been a fan of Harry Potter, but the Die hard films are excellent. He had a real knack for playing the baddie.

Sad to hear of his passing. Personally, my favourite line of his was 'Cancel Christmas' from Robin Hood. He always moved with such grace too.

What is it about 2016 that it's started by all my heroes shuffling off the mortal coil? First Bowie and now Alan Rickman. My favourite performance of his was Truly Madly Deeply, but he certainly knew how to play the 'baddie'. I remember a story John Sessions told of Alan Rickman at a family barbeque where one of Alan Rickman's young nephew's dared to ask 'why do you always play the villain?'. As nearby adults within ear shot gasped at the audacity of youth Alan Rickman replies 'I don't play villains. I play interesting people!"

Sadly it seems we are one more very talented and interesting actor short.

Another sad loss, same age as David Bowie as well.

Yes it seems some of the greats of music,stage and film have passed this year.Dan Haggerty (Grizzly Adams) has also died,and it's  only still the first  month of the  year .RIP to you all that have passed
