  1. Have just added a Hampton 25 at £15,000 it thats any good?? also updated the engine info and BSS expiry dates.
  2. Website now updated. http://www.richardsonsboatsales.net/?boats=all
  3. I don't think this article will do the Broads any harm , its a shame they did not mention our price promise or exceptional customer service.
  4. if you do the maths, by the time we have sold the boats available this year and paid the VAT it may fund one new boat.
  5. commander 3 will be at the boat show then another couple of Commodores next year. We have a dedicated moulding and building team who operate all year round separate to the hire fleet. We have more new boats less than 10 years old than any other operator. no plans to stop building.
  6. slowly getting there, but at Horning we look after everyone else first.. We are going to finish Jomaric so I can use her over the winter and will be ready for next season then attack Broadsventure for me to use next summer.
  7. but with a full refit about 15years ago and nanni engine not completely original
  8. Some right bargains here, I have not updated our boat sales page so you heard it here first, we have had a fair bit of interest in a couple but nothing sold so far. £ Dawn Horizon 1 25,500 Dawn Horizon 2 25,500 Executive 22,000 Golden Horizon 1 23,000 Southern Horizon 1 23,000 Southern Horizon 2 23,000 Broadland Lass 2 23,000 Hawaii 27,000 San Moritz 1 20,000 San Moritz 2 20,000
  9. half way through the season where there are between 30 and 80 single sex/young groups are out every week, this was bad behaviour but the reporting is terrible and although people have to have something to chat about its no different to the last 40 years, I actually think we see less problems than 10 years ago due to the procedures in place.
  10. Nice review there which is always good, BUT... there should be a nonstick frying pan on there!!!
  11. there is an otter in Wroxham which has been filmed on more than one occasion drowning geese, one was last week.. the article states it is such a shame as the swan in a beautiful animal, perhaps it would have been better if it was a heron?
  12. she is in Horning, making not just a shelf but a great space to put things under.. Since I have been without her i have spent a week in Oulton Broad on Sea earl one year, Commodore the next year and Jomaric last year.!
  13. Hi Kevyn, we are putting a new apron and stem in her, she has been out of the water a while now and gets a couple of days every 6 months or so and is not progressing too fast ! however we have a completed apron ready to fit and the stem (the easy bit) is waiting to go onto that. I have been using other boats for a coupe of years now and am missing the old girl although i look at her in the shed every day I want to get back out on her again. If you have any photos I would love to see them. Cheers,Clive.
  14. we came 9th overall 2nd river cruiser.. chuffed as I have never helmed the race before but I did muster an awesome crew who had a good laugh all the way round.
  15. me in front with hat on,
  16. Hi Barry, I know Adam and Kate, we spend quite a lot of time in the misbelief that wooden boats can be a great idea. I'm sure anyone who agrees is correct too. Pop in in a few weeks time, hopefully we will have cleared the backlog and will be progressing with Jomaric.
  17. I am sure thats correct in your view and perhaps some others but I have tinted glass in Broadsventure and it is better in every aspect, the canopy on Jomaric is not original, I had it made, I think its called progress, as Robin says Broad ambition has tinted glass but the window apertures have also been enlarged, is this wrong? same as putting the rear doors in, its not original but in the owners eyes it is better, I think its progress and up to the owner what they do, in the 1980s people removed edwardian and victorian bathrooms and put in modern avocado and peach suites, they also panelled over doors, it can all be put back if the new owners don't agree with it. some people think beards and/or ponytails look good.
  18. I will help anyone with any work on any boat, just bring your boat down to Horning and I will do my best to get you a fair price. I didn't take offence I was just stating our position, I should use emojis (or even punctuation a bit more) Jomaric has never been on hire, she was built in 1949. she has an electric toilet, modern galley, new nanni Diesel engine, hot air heating and we have replaced the canopy and steering to make life easier, also tinted glass all round, the upholstery and flooring is new. I have lined the shower and toilet with modern materials which are easy to sanitise which may not be to everyones taste but you can't have everything! Jomaric is fully varnished inside and out. herbert woods Maffett and Martham are very different offerings, I think we are producing something very similar to Adam and Kate at little ships but although I have not seen inside water rail, Christina is full of gadgets and a really nice boat. I have my eye on a couple more but for different reasons
  19. sorry Alan, We are too busy getting everyone else boats ready! we hope to be done soon though, she is taxed to there is an incentive to have her hired out!
  20. How do you know we don't all help sick kids? Also I think Martham have a very different offer to that of Little ships, Herbert Woods boat is very different to ours. Also how do you know we don't all get along and help each other? We have not finished ours ready for hire yet, but I am not doing it to make a packet, I just like old boats, I have a few and would like to justify having so many and I like them out on the water, I am sure it will be hard work so lets just see how it goes..

yes, got the backstay snagged on the bottom last year, we would have won otherwise!

most people enter it to say they have completed it, not to win, then they enter again to see how well they can do, then to try and win. most of the time they would have done much better if the problems experienced did not happen, I know our crew would have won 3 times if we had done better.
  23. give jason a ring, should be fine in the spot..
