  1. Thank you Robin, A most enjoyable Saturday nights viewing! ......Again! Iain
  2. Hi Mark, It was both my wife and sister in law said "Scoot" should come to Norfolk also lol. The Battery is heavyish, but if we do things slowly putting the pieces on n off land, I am sure all will be well. The chassis is not heavy, the seat folds into half its size. I aint totally TT, just have to use common sense. I will have the odd pint shandy, and if I see Adnams Broadside, then it has to be sampled also. A week tonight the car will be filled with holiday items for an early departure on the Sunday morning. Iain.
  3. Welcome back Geoff and Wendy I look forward to reading all your Holiday Tales, pics and videos when you have time to do it all. Glad you had a good weeks weather also. Iain.
  4. BB said Hurrah!!! He also said... Boooo!!! Go get em BB rootin tootin shootin em down! Iain
  5. Hi Mark, Yes is dismantles into four pieces. The chassis is the largest piece of the four. The freedom it has given me since I got it, has been brilliant. I am not a small person to shove about lol. I was down at a meagre 12stones when very ill, but thankfully have got my "bulk" back. Never was a skinnymalink. Iain
  6. Hi All, Just a wee update... after a rethink and jiggling about in my car, I think "Scoot" is coming on holiday with us! Yay! Will know for definate when I get to my sister in laws and see what size of bags etc she has packed! Nine days to go, not that I am counting them down at all Iain
  7. I thought the BA had tolls for maintaining staithes? So I assume its the same type as the Reedham Quay one? But the one at Womack water IS a Parish Council one? Think I need a box of headache pills, this is becoming very complicated! Iain.
  8. Hi Andrew, Welcome to the NBN friendly Forum Iain.
  9. Hi Steve, Enjoy your week afloat with that lovely lady from London! BTW no more than a pint for Alan he is still very young! Iain
  10. Hi Mark, I had them on Silver Harmony and only used them once. As the late Alan Johnston taught me, there is more than one way to leave a mooring, especially if its very windy! Bow thrusters are probably helpful to first time users, as for getting up and moving at 06.30am good god sir, no way I am RETIRED remember! BTW not tea, Scotland's other national drink..Irn Bru Failing that Low Alcohol Czech or German wheat biers, Iain.
  11. I can "picture" it now to excuse the pun ....Steve, having read how his good lady can carry out no end on chores, and medial tasks on his boat, will know doubt stand on the roof, just like the Statue of Liberty holding the ariel up with the instructions bellowed out from Steve of left a bit ...right a bit My one question is, where does the magic sponge go? Iain
  12. Oh I will tell ALL the other boaters at 06.30am when I leave the quay with BOTH bow AND stern thrusters going I will say it was Matt's idea on the NBN Forum! Nice to have the toys, but will use sparingly. Iain
  13. Thanks Bill for the update. I agree it is taking a long time, maybe difficulty getting spares to repair it? I think because we are all use to logging in to the Barnes one we are feeling cheated it aint working! Grace on the other hand is going apoplectic! Iain
  14. Fair point Simon, Just a pity the HW cam is only fixed and does not have a zoom facility so we could see the bridge height that we know we still cannot get under. One lives in hope though! Iain
  15. Weeks??? Young Alan its days laddie....TEN of them to be exact! Iain.
  16. Expand the band width Alan n Skipper to acomodate all of Geoffs blogs and pics! Iain.
  17. Wow Alan, that was a quick week! Yes, they have probably chained themselves to the handrails so they cannot get off Star Gem6 Iain.
  18. Jeff said ..... Errr will that be Red or White Do you think Jeff? Iain
  19. Bump! Has anyone heard what the latest is on the two Wroxham cams? I sure miss not seeing the bridge every day. There is a rumour going about that a lady from Sussex is missing her daily Web Cam fix there. Iain
  20. Hi Neil, Will this help you find out? I don't fish. I just go to the Fish n Chip shop for a Black Pudding Supper! https://www.gov.uk/freshwater-rod-fishing-rules/overview Iain
  21. Neil, Your behaviour has been exemplary, ...honest! Iain
  22. We have always used old newspapers for blocking the worst of the draughts, also we take two travel rugs and put them along the back of the seating. Also try and moor into the wind if possible, so the wind is not going through the brush draught excluders. Iain.
  23. That Timbo would have been the Jewish Hospital at Newton Mearns you be talking about, its the famous Rabbi Burns unit! I'll get my coat ..... Iain
  24. Hi David, Thank you, I hope there aint too many hold ups for you on your journey down. Our plans have changed somewhat, and I am doing the from home to Linlithgow then on to Kings Lynn in the one day. I may even be norty and have a lager shandy once I get there Have a great holiday, Silverline's boat handle very well indeed, you will have no problems on that score. Take care, watch out for a Archaeologist with twa dugs kerb crawling still on the A17! Iain.
