  1. Hi ric, Welcome aboard the NBN Forum Iain
  2. No Stuart, they reduced the company letters from GPO to BT! That was the progress oh and the odd shareholder or twentyfive? Iain
  3. When Ruth was still teaching, coming to the Broads first week in July, made her smile seeing all the kids still at school! 5.45pm till you were back Polly? Was East Croydon station THAT busy? Iain
  4. Very heavy frost here today. I will let the sun carry out the ice removal, before we head off up to Glasgow! Iain
  5. Brave man, best of luck, Stuart! Iain
  6. On seconds thoughts......MOVE IT, would be more appropriate Iain
  7. Thinking about Cliff and one of his songs at full pelt. ....We're all going on a Summer Holiday ..... I think would clear Loddon Staithe!
  8. No mention of times in that one? Or have I missed it?
  9. The more I think about it, the more I am convinced the BA wish to close the holiday hire trade down. Liberty, if hirers don't read speed limit signs, that are BIG, then stickers will never be read IMHO Iain
  10. Likewise JM, I sort of support it, but to me IF it is a new by-law it has not been thought out properly......again! Iain
  11. A bit tongue in cheek, but the BA could employ sneeks with night cameras with powerful sound detectors to charge / catch the said offenders! Iain
  12. Thanks JM, I have a feeling this is possibly more anger ahead. I don't carry £1000 in my wallet when on the boat or any holiday for that matter! Iain
  13. Yes Mark, it's for all those yachts speeding during the Three Rivers Race! They coud make a killing on a windy day! Back to the topic, don't new laws, if this is one, require discussion by all involved first? If I was not on a forum, or not told at the boatyard, and knew nothing about the signs, HOW would I know, being a hirer? Iain Iain
  14. That's because you are easily "lead" Ian ok i'll get coat Iain
  15. I think after seven years you should get one free, Stuart, but doubt that very much, as the Hub5 is £79.99p! at BT Iain
  16. Ah that's the reason for the Toll increase then Iain
  17. I assume that the BA rangers will be starting work earlier, or working later to catch the offending engine runners? Just a thought. Iain
  18. The cafe at Potter are pretty good MM. Good bakers are hard to find these days. Iain
  19. I wonder what Clive thinks of the latest development? The notice I mentioned, is stamped on the dashboard. Iain
  20. Intesting news Polly, I wonder what Richos will do with all the new boats like Broadway as there is a notice on the dashboard lights, if it drops to a certain colour, run your engine! Iain
  21. Things can be regional with Aldi, a friend in Hampshire cannot buy, what I can purchase up here, and vice versa. They have stopped the Bucks Fizz which sold for several years, it's only on for special occasions our local Manager informed us. We too can know longer buy the beef olives! I do know one of the area Managers, so will nip his head the next time I see him! Iain
  22. I moved to BT this time last year, I was like Strowie with Talk Talk, and although never dropped to those speeds, it was slow. I am about a mile from our exchange so rarely see much difference in speed, it is much quicker (Hub5) than my old router ever was. I do hope your Broadband is back up to a decent speed soon Ray. Iain
  23. Agreed, Robin, I wish I could say the same about some of the so called DIY wiring I have seen and had to repair and replace in homes and buildings! I wish I had had a mobile phone camera in those days, to show the dangers of the risk of fire then. Iain
