Hiya Yes the negative cable - now that makes sense - thanks. The stirling charger I have is rated at 30A, I guess that is total regardless of the number of battery circuits I am charging so I just have to put a 40A fuse in the negative - right? I'll swap the eber to the domestics - It is connected to the back of the Isolator on the battery side so just a matter of swapping to the other isolator. Many thanks Wayne

Hi I have been having a little trouble with my cranking battery not charging. I have traced this down to a "thermal" fuse. My charger is 30A and the fuse is 40A. It is one of those push in / pull out ones and it wont stay in, even with everthing turned off so I guess it is...broke. The cheapest I can find a new one is £45.00 Therefore I am wondering if there is an alternative I can use, especially as I think I will need two. The cable that goes to the domestic batteries has no fuse at all and I am guessing I should have one. Whilst tracing cables I also noticed that the eber is powered directly off the cranking battery (via a fuse). As it has a 7 day timer I understand why it is directly powered but why the cranking battery not the domestics? Many thanks Wayne

Hi all As the title says I am looking for some advice. I have four of the parts as in the picture in the remote control unit for my Pasarelle. One channel was not working so swaping the parts over proved this is what is at fault - as well as the white "dust" on the inside of the cover near the part. It seems to be a relay of sorts. The number on it is 211SED012-M which a quick seach on the net shows is an obsolete Fujitsu part. I found a site which says they can get them but min order is $400! Would anybody know if there is a current alternative ? Not sure if I am keeping or selling the Pasarelle but either way I need to get it working again. Thanks in advance Wayne

We too use Bt fon. IMHO with iPhones etc becomming more and more the norm I would have thought in the future free wifi would be expected rather than a chargeable extra

Hiya Take your point about all waterways auhorities charges and certainly not interested in a crusade IMHO the BA do a good job that needs doing and I am quite happy to pay for the benefits it gives us. If we are all realistic about it the Tolls are a very small cost of owning and running a boat. However it is attitudes and policies thatI have been disagreeing with the BA about for some time. The details are of course between me and them, however suffice to say I am quite happy to pay my tolls on a fair and reasonable basis. The problem is of course, as with any monopoly running what is effectively a service they can become ....shall we say...a little less customer focused. best regards Wayne

Hiya Just wondering about Eberspachers..as you do..oh...just me then. Anyway - What are the pros and cons of the Air type vs the water type. To my thinking the wet type with a few blown matix around the boat has to give a better heat transfer and more even heat than the air type? Would be interested in peoples experiances. rgds Wayne
