  1. thanks robin so i guess it will be just as quiet as madiera if not better, ive watched your blog on sunlit horizon it seems pretty good noise wise will major gem 2 and broadland mercury be similar noise wise they have both got new nanni engines in, i am considering them for next year . speaking of blogs what made you pick princess was it the good deal on the price for the days i did think you would have gone for melody or san remo but at the moment i would be happy with a rowing boat at the moment just to be on the water.
  2. thanks jonzo so would you hire major gem 2 again, with the new engine is it not to bad noise wise in the saloon when criusing along, never hired a center criuser with engine in the middle before so iam just a bit unsure.
  3. no replies is everbody on holiday, come on clive where are you.also i think ive made my mind up for next year, 7 days in may on tropic horizon and 11 days in september on major gem 2 .

  5. they have just moved it , they must of herd me chowing at them from here in hull , it was stuck out stern on but also they had a dingy waving about a the front causing even more chaos.

  11. we have hired Antigua for 11 days in july hoping to go through wroxham to coltishall , just looking at richardsons brochure it says Antigua has air draft of 7ft 2in but all the other boats that are similar like highland gem san lucia say 6ft 10in even all the the 44ft one like Tobago san diego san elena and majestic gem say 6ft 10ins is it correct or a miss print , it will proberly go through with right conditions but its being bugging me I am sure somebody on here will know .
  12. thanks robin look forward to it, after watching your vids last year went to rockland st mary what a,fantastic magical place, also we wild moored on the ant just up from your favourite on the right going from how hill to barton I think we might have to do it a couple of times this year loved it. happy boating.
  13. hi robin just wondered when you were going to do this years blog , I,ve started watching all your blogs again from the beginning in order just to keep me going,also would you ever hire the a boat twice ,you proberly would not because you do them great reviews,your last blog was on brinks hybrid boat do you think maybe in say 10 ,15 ,20 year all boats yards will go hybrid, that has to be the best boat you have been on silence bliss . sorry about the typing not my strong point.
  14. thanks everone sorry for not getting back sooner but laptop was on the blink fixed now, I did think they all had 12v sockets but if in doubt ask. 133 days and counting
  15. we have hired antigua which is 240v does anybody know how many sockets are on boad and do 240v boats also have 12v cig lighter sockets also,we are taking an elecky cool box took it last year on madiera which is a 12v boat worked great it comes with both 3 pin and cig lighter plugs,any info would be great thanks less than 160 days and counting.

  17. I read a couple on holiday this year , im up before anybody else cup of coffee chris crowther book looking out the boat window over the broads perfection. while out about this year picked up the ones I did not have only about 200 days before im going to read the next one.
  18. can t see on pictures where winder is for roof or is there not one , is it just a case of opening and closing by hand yourself if so how easy is it to slide has anybody hired her or similar craft .
  19. are you planning on going under wroxham bridge to, we are hoping to go next year , not been up their since early 80s looks like a lovely stretch of river . it would be good to see you do your blog down there.

  21. agree with picking different boats that's what makes the broads holidays so special, might have to go with a cheaper one next time,
