  1. c4 yesterday just watched some of it o my god how much money have these people got,the yachts on this program are amazing, and i thought the private boats at oulton are big the owners of these yachts would use them as tenders.
  2. great hour of music thanks griff i would have missed it if you had not put it on the forum.
  3. nice one griff ELO in concert , they are touring next year also new album out.
  4. its not so much for the electronics but for maybe a more comfortable bed and interior, just had antigue good boat loads of space but bed was a bit uncomfy and short and im not tall only 5,10 which is odd because front bedroom is massive, was looking at coral horizon bed looks a tad small hope we can get a look onboard in may, quiet fancy swan reflection only about 100 quid difference for a week in late april, still if i could go now id be there like shot on anything .
  5. thanks for the replys , they all look nice wish we could try them all , this is for 2017 when we will have been 5 times so big discount on our 6 holiday thats why i am thinking about rickos platinum fleet, this year we have melody 2 in may and major gem 2 in september cant wait.
  6. the best moorings are the wild ones down the ant and top of fleet dyke , thats all i need.
  7. just wondering where are the engines situated on the swan bathtub boats that richardsons have got for hire now like roamer and reflection they do look pretty nice and comfy inside just wondering about noise levels if the engines are inside not at the back.
  8. what about melody or san remo from rickos , aft well for fishing two bedrooms nice new fit out and pretty cheap.
  9. never had a duel steer but corvett looks interesting , had a madiera which handled great and we liked the layout could be tempted if price is right.
  10. not the worst idea ive heard
  11. just looking between rickos pictures and dan horners of major gem 2 and helm looks differant steering wheel and power lever on oppersite side, maybe not just no2 has had a refit does anybody know.
  12. booked melody 2 for a week in may, no 4 and 1 already booked and major gem 2 in sept for 11 days, new pictures of major gem 2 on rickos web site, maybe they should say on web site that pictures are of no 2 because of refit , we know no 2 the one to pick , if after looking at the pictures on web site and booked it and ended up with 1 3 or 4 and expected the same interior you would be disapointed .
  13. siddy what do you mean 3 legged dog in sept is it because of the wind.
  14. could do with more rangers
  15. dont be scared to ask, most people will only be to happy to offer advise and tips .
  16. thanks gracie melody looks great with new floor , booking for one week in may and 11 days in sept on major gem 2, just come back and already looking ahead to next year, when are you back afloat.
  17. loved it did not want to take it back , it did take a couple of days to get used to tho, very quiet nanni engine , if it had a refit would be best in classic fleet i think.
  18. Just returned from 11 days on Antigua 2 and thought I'd post a little review of this boat. All in all it was a nice boat, especially for the price paid. I'll just make a list of points and will gladly expand on any:- Kitchen area was really spacious with lots of cupboard space. nice little fold out table that adds to counter space when preparing a meal but tucks away nice and easy when not in use, although we did leave it up throughout the whole hol as there was only 3 of us on the boat and it didn't get in the way at all. Back patio doors are brilliant - so lovely to stand in a morning waiting for the kettle to boil whilst looking out over the scenery. If it hadn't been for these - we wouldn't have seen the otter during our second wild mooring! The rear well is also fantastic - really spacious. The boat is really easy to get on and off at the back too The driving position with roof shut is not too good - your vision is quite restricted in the top left hand corner - its virtually impossible to see to your left properly without opening the roof The wiper is not really very good - might just need a new blade but was not very useful If you are not 6 foot tall you will really struggle to see over the windscreen when standing next to the driver - we bought a step stool at Lathams so the Mrs could see! The runners on the roof are quite stiff - again a trip to Lathams for WD40 was a must. The front bedroom has absolutely bags of room - even with 2 adults in the room there was loads of space for getting changed, etc Non slip shower mats for inside the bathrooms are a must - stops that loss of footing when going for a pee after someone has showered!! Bath mats for outside bathroom doors - great for catching drips as people step out from showering or from the door after showering - we took old ones from home and threw them away before coming home - again helps to avoid slipping on wet floors as you pass the bathrooms Air fresheners for bathrooms - no need for any extra explanation on that one!! We always ask for an extra oven tray and a couple of extra fleece blankets before leaving the boatyard too - blankets come in very handy when sitting on the front of the boat reading! now, Andy
  19. So, we just came back from 11 days on Antigua 2 and whilst in the boat yard we were able to have a look on Melody (this is the boat we are contemplating for our next trip). We looked on Melody 3 which looks great - nice re-fit and really well laid out, however, I've seen on the forum that lots of people are saying Melody 4 is their favourite ... please tell me ... why is this???? Also, any tips or bits of info about Melody (any of them) would be welcome Many thanks, Andy
  20. first boat we hired as a family back in 07 proberly one of the best classic bathtubs from rickos quiet and a great sliding roof.
