Hey!

hi emma welcome to the forum, i think you'll keep coming back now, once you get the broads bug it never leaves you. ive got it really bad lol. lori
2. hi gretzky there used to be alot of seals that got trapped in the locks too, especially at boston, i can't believe how much lincolns changed, & not for the better, i miss that lovely little pub that used to be there, before the one that is now called the shed, how original NOT.
3. hi littleboat, are you sure it's a steiff bear, even old tatty bears are still worth alot of money,if it was a steiff bear, did it look like any of these bears ? & was it a soft or hard bear ? these are my collection of steiff bears, well some of them lori
4. they're really great pics, & so red too, brilliant.
5. hi all i'm afraid i have to dissagree with you there, because we've never ever had it drummed into us about being careful on breydon, non of the hire companies have ever said anything to us , apart from WATCH THE TIDES, thats all they've ever saif to us, & we've crossed breydon quite a few times, & never had any problems crossing, we've always stayed inside the posts even though we did'nt read the manuals, it's just a case of using your common sense. lori
6. hi guys, ive never been one for playing with trains, i prefer teddybears lol. expensive steiff ones that is, lori
7. the ones complaining, are probably terrified of mobiles & computers & sit playing at home with their little train sets, lori
8. OH dear john that's so sad, i can't see how anyone can hate the broads or boating, to me just being afloat & listening to the ducks seeing that beautiful mist first thing in a morning is magical, ive talked to one or two of my friends & they said that they're happy just sat on a beach all day drinking & eating, & i can't think of anything more boring, give me the broads any day,& i love that floating feeling you get when you're on a boat, my idea of bliss. lori
9. hi andyg, thats one bright boat you're hiring lol, at least you'll feel summerie even if it's abit on the cold side, i'm afraid we've hired the opposite, we've hired san remo, which is a horrible green colour, ( sorry clive ) but we have hired that type of boat before, & found that the front cabin could be slight chilly at night, so we slept in the back, which was warmer because of the engine. lori
10. hi all been talking to my auntie, & found out that she's also got the boating bug, but she prefers sailing, usually off the cowes island, & a few other relatives also like boating, & i thought i'd got the bug off of my parents, how many of you have gotten the boating bug from YOUR parents or relatives ? & do your offspring feel the same way about boating as you do. lori
11. hi andy thanks for the offer, but we don't come down til 19th sept, but i'm sure we'll find a way there, but thanks for the thought though. lori
12. hi clive thanx for info, have you got a number for them ? looking forwards to coming down, see you in 3 weeks yay. lori

transport

hi all my sister had a look on web, & it looks like it's going to cost us £26 for a taxi from norwich to stalham, OUCH, has anybody been to stalham from norwich ? & if so which way is best to get there ? would we be better getting train to wroxham then a taxi to stalham ? or is there any busses that we could get ? any help would be appreciated. lori

showers

hi littleboat we're hiring san remo from richardsons, i hope it does'nt leak lol, but no matter what boat you hire, moisture always seems to spread to the rest of your boat when you shower onboard. lori

showers

hi all not long now, yey, only 4 weeks to go, can't wait, a full week away from victor meldrew, i mean hubby lol, what i'd like to know is, is there any showers on the north side of the broads & if so where ? there's nothing worse than having to live with damp on your boat in autumn from the showers, it seems to spread all round your cabin, lori
18. you seem to be spending a hell of lot of time on the broads lately, are you having a last year fling ? i hope you're not thinking of giving up yet lol .
19. hi john thanks, i'll try to remember that. lori
20. hi john the thing i'm not too sure about is when to go over breydon, a boatyard told us to go an hour after the tide time from acle, but how long do you leave it if you're coming from reedham with it being closer to breydon water ? lori
21. OH dear, what will it be next, cameras to be able to see into peoples houses ? so that they can see if you're snoring too loud lmao. lori
22. OH dear me, what sad people you are, watching xfactor yuck, give me the gadget show anytime, at least thats interesting & they give away tons of prizes, ( i love gadgets ) lori
23. Aaahh she's beautiful, a little ball of fluff, it's a pity they don't stay that way i remember when my suki was a kitten , she used to like sleeping in the cupboard where the gas meter was, maybe she found the noise soothing lori
24. OH dear neil this is going to be a very sad day indeed, the phrase sticks & stones comes to mind, but i always thought a forum was to be able to express how you feel, & if other people don't like what you've put then they should'nt read it, i really hope you'll reconsider leaving us, but if you've made up your mind i hope you still pop back some time & still come to some of the meets, & keep smiling neil & karen. loribear
