  1. Hi bobdog , what exactly is there up past potter bridge ? Ive never been up there , ive only ever been to the top end by the windmill . Lori
  2. This is the pic of all the boats but only the small ones had a flag on i think. Lori
  3. there were two of the small boats which had a flag on but not sure why lol.& i can't seem to put anymore piccies on here to show you , tried with both fone & lappy. lori
  4. Hi hylander i'm afraid it was only a double bed , & it had two singles too , not sure how many the other cabin had ,there are quite a few houses to rent in that area though.& yes it was just off of the river , it was just down from that white windmill , which i was told you can also rent. Lori
  5. It was at horning hylander , nice houseboat but you have to strip your bed before you leave & the signal is non existent on 3. Here's a few piccies. Lori
  6. Hi hylander we only managed to go to ludham for breakfast which was huge , & then onto to ranworth broad as we had to get back to the yard for 4pm , which was right across from our houseboat .
  7. Hi marshman , we've hired from geo smith about 4 times over the years , & they never ever put any restrictions on wroxham bridge at all , just said that we could'nt use the pilot , lori
  8. It's ok bobdog it was our fender we tied up as the rope was'nt long enough to tie at both ends , which was stupid, they should at least give you enough rope on the boats, they charge enough lol.
  9. Maybe thats the problem jenny , like you just said , waveney is on a gentle hill , whereas the horizon yard is all flat from what i remember & flooded a few times , so would be no good for glamping . Lori
  10. I thought i'd heard on fbook that horizon are buying the yard but only keeping 10 boats & changing the names of them. Lori
  11. To anyone wanting to hire a dayboat , always check where you can go , we went with jb boats & hired lady laura which is a very low boat , THAT LOW that i banged my head 4 times ouch lol . But we found out that we were limited as to where we could go , he would'nt let us go under potter bridge or wroxham bridge which he said was an insurance thing , which seemt stupid to me as there would'nt have been any problems getting under it at all . Here is a pic of the boat. Lori
  12. I think for a broads boat , this one has got to be the one for me ,another chris craft. Beeeautiful . Lori
  13. I thought chris boats were all wooden , ive saved quite a few of them on pintrest as i loved the look of them , here is one of the pics , it's beautiful, i love chris boats. Lori
  14. I usually find if i try to view it in chrome it buffers alot on my fone , so i have to use photon browser as it's got a special flash thingy at the top when viewing webcams. & especially that waveney one.
  15. Hi steve there is a good taxi firm called there & back & the driver is called michael & he's very nice & he's on fbook , he's based around wroxham ,& he really looked after us when we were down there , but not sure how far he goes to , here is his card , but just to let you know that most buses & taxis finish about 5pm this time of year. lori
  16. When i was looking on pintrest i found a picture of potter heigham with a very large boat going through it , but how on earth did it do it , was the water extra low do you think ? Or has the bridge sunk abit over the years , not sure what year this was . Lori
  17. Hi all , i can definitely say that there is NO mobile signal in horning with 3 & you can only just get with vodafone , we stayed in a houseboat recently for a week & it was a real struggle for me , luckily i'd taken my spare vodafone fone with me as my daughter was in respite that week , & there was no wifi in the cabin either , so it was'nt very good for us . Lori
  18. hi david thanks for sharing your lovely holiday adventure & your pics, it was a lovely read, & i agree the bridge cafe is very nice, we went in there a had a lovely breakfast ,lori
  19. hi eric, thanks for your lovely blog, just hearing about you eating all that food is making me feel full lol, glad you all had a great time , it's making me wish i was there already , sigh sigh , just three weeks to go & it's dragging lol, it'll feel weird this year being in a houseboat . ps, sorry you lost your pics, why on earth did they format the memory card ? lol . lori
  20. i think somebody should have told them that it's a boat not a hovercraft lol .
  21. i hope you don't mind me asking , but can't dogs pick up on on co2 poisoning ? if it's wrong to ask this then just delete it, my heart goes out to all the family. lori
  22. i too love coltishall, there's not much up there to really see, but there's something quite quiant about the place, & it's always so peaceful up there & there's plenty of mooring, & a nice little walk to the pub & post office , you don't see many boats in front of the pub, do you have to pay for that ? lori
  23. hi , just been on nbn on my phablet & it works a treat, it's really quick too, brilliant job, lori

    Wifi And 4g

that sounds good if it is, but o2 has always been non existant on the broads, i ususally found that 3 & orange was the best there, so i hope it is getting better there, as we're staying there in september in a houseboat lol, & the signal problem is the one thing i forgot when booking it, so thanks for that bit of info movic, fingers crossed lol. lori
