  1. Vaughan, I was thinking more on the lines of 'Quelle MURDER'! Oi, Mr Auto Censor, I didn't write Murder, I wrote what good Norfolk folk call 'muck' but in French!
  2. I did title it 'yet more Norfolk Squit'!

  4. Strange but good for them, shame that they don't display that information. http://ratings.food.gov.uk/authority-search/en-GB/Waveney/Lowestoft/Relevance/0/303/^/1/1/10
  5. The rating as shown on the internet today is still 1 and there is no sign on the door to indicate otherwise. For those who don't bother about such things, as is their right, that is not a problem. For those that do care there are several nearby outlets with either a 4 or a 5 offering excellent fair, so, once again, no problem. Our local Streetlife, arghhhhh! Absolutely clueless moderation does not help their cause one iota, imho.
  6. Now that would be a shame! The Thames Raters, like the Norfolk Punts, are something of a legend in sailing circles.
  7. Re Poppy's point about the handicaps of the Thames boats, I note in the corrected results, that the best an A Rater could achieve was 14th. To me that suggest that their handicaps are probably about right. Can't have those Londoners coming up here and nicking our trophies, or our women http://www.horningsc.org.uk/
  8. The juxtaposition of the reds, whites and blues is pretty darn clever!
  9. Probably been arguing over who should do the washing up or whether the Broads should be called a national park or not!
  10. It was only that one of the liifeboat owner's told me about the event otherwise I too probably wouldn't have known anything about it. What amazed me about the £132.57 was the .57p, did 57 people only donate 1p each?
  11. Neil, please note, JUNE 11th 2017, you have no excuse now.
  12. The Adnams shop delivers! http://cellarandkitchen.adnams.co.uk/page/delivery--service
  13. Neil, slight deviation on your part, turn right at Gorleston harbour mouth and right at Southwold and that will allow you to visit this old lifeboat: http://www.alfredcorry.co.uk/

  15. Waddled down to the village after lunch. Very pleasant hour spent nosing around where I met Scott, admired the quality and detail of what was once a foreign based lifeboat, she'd been based in Scotland and met up with several old friends.
  16. I note that Linton Hope designed a number of A Raters, as he did the the Broads One Design. Ergo the Thames A Raters have a Broads related heritage.
  17. http://player.bfi.org.uk/film/watch-water-on-the-brain-1955/ Slow to load, I thought, but well worth the effort.
  18. I often wonder if a 'you know what' was called after that particular splice or the whether the splice was named after that particular 'you know what'?
  19. Strow, you have, until now, hidden talents to be proud of!! Excellent stuff, so says a one time PAGB & EAF judge! Please show us more as the summer goes by.
  20. No doubt that the posts look both taller and further apart. Perhaps Bewilderwood is now catering for taller and wider cyclists.

  22. Robin, having a long blue phallice dangling from your stem-head is a nightmare vision that will haunt you till eternity!
