  1. What..............Get my hands dirty No No No.......I shall be getting someone in to do the dirty work lol. I shall mention this to him though so many thanks for the advice. P.s. Engines run every week and goes out of the marina for a run at least once a fortnight
  2. Thanks for all the advice folks. I shall keep you all posted on how I get on.
  3. I use the boat all year round. I work in Norfolk two days a week so use the boat for a base on those days. I love winter cruising and my helm is in the main cabin so no need to freeze So..........not that worried about when to get it done, just the fact that it will be nice to sort for when "I feel the need, the need for speed"
  4. Hi all, We had our engines serviced this week on Lady Emma (2 x Volvo Tamd31P) and it was found that the port side engines turbo (Borg Warner I think) is seized. Anyone know where we can get a replacement or have it reconditioned ? Cheers, Jeff.
  5. Hi all, I'm looking for recommendations for anyone who does Hull wrapping and also window tinting? Want to have a partial wrap on the hull in dark (boat) blue to break up the white. Will also get the Anti foul to match. Also to get the glass tinted as well which will help keep some of the heat out of the cockpit and hopefully help to protect all the lovely Scandinavian wood work. Planning to do this next year when the boat comes out to be anti fouled and new anodes installed.
  6. Ice and a slice with that?
  7. Congratulations on the new boat I use an image hosting site to post my pictures. In my case 'Flickr' but others are available. Upload your image to hosting site then it's just a case of copying the BB code of the image and pasting code into your thread on here.
  8. I wasn't born in July 69. I was sprogged out nine months after the moon landing......Can't think how my Mum and Dad celebrated mans first steps on the moon
  9. Well........You're never too old to learn something new
  10. Totally agree, The Bridge Inn has now very much become my local (and I'm not local) for the very reasons you have pointed out. Always looked after superbly by all the staff, nothing too much trouble for them even when the place is really busy. Will be there Monday evening with friends who have come down from Middlesbrough to stay in Norfolk for the week. Be sure to say hello if you are there
  11. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/world-europe-48489523/huge-cruise-ship-crashes-into-venice-harbour Thankfully no major injuries reported. That is going to be a big insurance claim me thinks
  12. I passed my test first time at 17 in 1987. The driving school I took my lessons with had a fleet (of two) Mk1 Nissan Micras I bought my first car a month after passing my test. A 1973 Mk1 Escort 1300. It was in a bronze brown colour which hid the rust pretty well. It lasted me just about a year before the Tin worm took hold. My next car was a Vauxhall Chevanne (don't ask) soon followed by a Mk1 VW Scirocco which I blew up after a few months of, how shall I put it........Vigorous driving! I then inheriited a Datsun Sunny in 1989 which I had for three years before getting my first of two Renualt 21's which saw me through to 1999. Ros and I then bought an ex demonstrator Vauxhall Astravan which served me well for work and also an ex demonstrator Rover 45 Saloon for when we needed more than two seats. In 2007 we bought a three year old Mk1 MG ZT which we ran alongside the Astravan. 2010 saw us retire the Astravan to pastures new and we purchased a MK2 MG ZT-T and also an Audi A3 S-Line which we kept both of for the next seven years. In 2017 I left the company I had worked at for the last twenty years and went self employed. My miles I travel for work has shot up and it was decided to retire the petrol MG and Audi and go back to the fuel of the devil! So......We are now down to one car and driving an Audi Q3 S-Line TDI and doing about 25,000 miles a year so far Hoping to run her for a few years more yet and then will look at an EV for our next motor. Been great reading up on here all of the varied motors peeps have had over the years.
  13. Bed for me now........Been a long but enjoyable weekend.

A couple of beers and dinner and we hit the sack Thanks to the team for putting on a great event again. Next time hope we may have a little bit more time to spend with everyone.
