    L'aigle

That's the one alright, cheers, I couldn't make out the reg number on my phone. That boat is basically why I now own my own one today

    L'aigle

Great pics, thanks for sharing:) I wonder, do you know anything about the yellow aft cockpit cruiser moored to the right of L'Aigle? It looks a lot like the boat that belonged to some friends of my parents.
  3. Hi, welcome to the forum, Yare Breeze (L713) is actually still available to hire from Richardsons, although now called Broadland Orion.
  4. This is a fascinating project to follow for the craft and technical aspects and it would also be interesting to see just how it stacks up against a restoration in terms of time and effort to achieve similar results. I was talking about boats hired in the past with a family friend of many decades a week or two ago and one of theirs was Princess Nerina M579, as usual I looked her up on the database and was thoroughly surprised to see a build year of 1980! No idea if she was the last but seems pretty late to me. Silver Jubilee 3 was built in 1977.
  5. There are quite a few places for high speed testing/demonstration runs etc on the Broads, full details contained within the Speed Limit Byelaws https://www.broads-authority.gov.uk/__data/assets/pdf_file/0020/180632/Speed_Limit_Byelaws1992-1.pdf
  6. I insure via Alan Boswell, local broker, they know the Broads, good price etc etc but never had to claim so can't comment on that aspect.
  7. I don't know a huge amount but looking at the literature Jones have in their archives, they were based in Ashmanhaugh.(loads of stuff about other makes/models too, in case you hadn't seen it before). https://www.jonesboatyard.co.uk/boat-sales/ocean-30-boats-for-sale.html https://www.jonesboatyard.co.uk/boat-sales/moonraker-30-boats-for-sale.html I think my Hampton Safari may also have been a Richard Nunn fitout for Geo. Smith, as I think their name is on some of cushions.
  8. My parents owned two, one was fitted out by Richard Nunn of Wroxham(sold through LH Jones st Ives) and the other was a Moonraker 30 (JCL?)both good quality boats but deffo not Brooms. I've not personally seen any reference to Ocean 30 ever being an official Broom(we looked)but I guess the Broom Ocean 37 having somewhat similar lines to the 30 may have fuelled the confusion.
  9. They belong to the Thurne Bungalows Management Co if I remember correctly
  10. It's the shape of the stern that makes me think she is a Bounty hull, very squared off and slab sided to my eye, much like the Melodys are, happy to be proven wrong though.
  11. She's built on a Bounty hull, she was for sale not that long ago and it was detailed in the ad :)
  12. Oh well, while we're at it, '89 Honda MT5, '92 Kawasaki KR1S, '98 Yamaha Fazer 600, '82 Honda CM125C, '90 Yamaha XJ600, '85 Kawasaki gpz 900, '00 Triumph Sprint RS, '89 Honda NS125R, '97 Triumph T595 Daytona, '85 Honda CB125, '97 Yamaha Fazer 600, '01 Kawasaki ZRX1200R(Eddie Lawson colours), '96 Kawasaki GT750 and an '87 Kawasaki KMX125 which is and has only ever been a box of bits/living room art.....as before there may have been others. Actually I missed an Orion 1.4 LX off my car list...... I should say that with one or two notable exeptions most of my stuff has been pretty knackered and/or built/rebuilt by myself..
  13. My boat currently has one of these, actually feels quite nice n soft on the old pinkies tbh...... Car history.....strap in.....Mk2 Escort 1.1L, Citroen AX 1.4 TZS,(Passed test) Mk2 Escort 1.3GL(crashed), Mini Sprite 998cc, Citroen AX(the same one), MK1 Fiesta Popular 957cc, Mk2 GolfC 1.3(crashed), MK2 Escort 1.3L, Nissan Micra Collette 1.0, Mk2 Fiesta 1.1 Ghia, Mk3 Fiesta 1.3 Ghia, Mk2 Golf GTI, MK3 Cavalier 2.0 CDI, Capri 2.8i, Mk2 Golf GTI(the same), Mk2 Golf 1.8GL, Jetta TX with the running gear from Golf GTI, MK 3 Golf GTI, Mk3 Golf TDI, Vento TDI, Frontera Sport 2.0, mk 2 Polo, Toyota Avensis, LRDiscovery 200 TDI, LR Discovery V8, Passat TDI, Passat Estate TDI, Peugeot 406 HDI Estate, Citroen AX Spree 1.0, Ford Galaxy, Audi A4 Avant 2.5 tdi, Peugeot 206, Seat Leon Cupra, Mk 3 Golf Estate TDI, Citroen Xsara Estate, Passat TDI estate, VW Caddy van, Mk3 Golf GTI, , Saab 9-5 Aero, 2 x T-Roc R, Merc Vito..... 14. Taken from Blakes 1990 brochure, a Crown Concorde appears to have also been available on the Broads? The picture is actually Starfire from Alphacraft but I guess that's because Concorde was in build?
  15. So could the mifi be plugged into the BluRay player via a USB connection and give it an internet connection? (assuming it has usb of course)
  16. In case you(or anyone reading this) weren't aware some of the Huawei MiFi units have sockets to connect an external antenna to them, under a little cover next to the charge socket(see pic).
  17. Yup that's the water pump, parents had one on their last boat, did the job just fine tbh
  18. Wayford Marine, Marine Tech, Rowan Craft and StayGB have websites of their own with boat sales sections, Sutton Staithe use ApolloDuck(search Sutton Staithe in AD website.). Topsail are similar to Boatshed but on a much smaller scale mainly doing sailing boats but do list cruisers as well. Ebay & Gumtree sometimes have a few Broadsy boats available(an ex Aston/Freedom cruiser is currently on Ebay for example.) If I remember any more I'll add them later.
  19. I think that Moretime is based on a Princess 35 moulding, which would make sense given the 30DS based Belmores. Ignore the flybridge and look at the saloon windows plus the portholes etc. http://www.broads.org.uk/wiki2018/index.php?title=Boat_Details&BoatId=39521&BoatHistory=62809
  20. Hello and welcome to the forum, the second pic is of a Bounty 34 Traveller(sedan), one is for sale on Boatshed currently. https://www.boatshed.com/bounty_traveller_34_sedan-boat-322255.html. Can't help with the other one I'm afraid, looks like a one off as you say. Good luck with your search:)
  21. I have no other suggestions but I wondered if you had seen this Siesta? http://www.norfolkboats.co.uk/SIESTA 20.html
  22. Hope this is ok to post here. My parents have decided to sell their 8% share in Evening Shadow. For those who don't know she is an Aquafibre Pearl 38, moored at Horning Pleasure Craft, managed by BCBM. 3 weeks allocation are left for this year, one in October and 2 in November with(I'm told)decent weeks allocated next year. Priced at £4250 Please call Kathy on PM for full details. Thank you.
