Selsie and I have also become custodians this week of a boat with a fair amount of wood. We have a full cover, but like Ray, this is all going go be a massive learning curve! Huge thanks to JanetAnne for all his help and advice and being a constant helpline these last few weeks! We have a 'boat fund' or maybe we will rename it 'money pit' !

Aurora is looking beautiful enough already but she may have some pretty fairy lights installed...... She is getting on a bit and needs to be treated with dignity so will avoid Jay's delightful Christmas tree suggestions lol

Ive been finding this topic all rather depressing! Thankfully I just enjoy being on the water, well away from pubs. I dont drink and pubs have no appeal to me whatsoever. We are new boat owners and just to get away from work and manic homelife by sitting on our boat watching the world go by on the water is enough for me. It has totally changed our lives for the better. Our running costs for a year are less than one or two weeks abroad for our family. We have the freedom to have constant mini breaks. Ive lost count of the days we have spent on our boat over the year and loved every minute of it.

Watched it this morning before work. A delightful start to my day :)
