Weather cooled down a tad , decided to leave Upton at 19:00 to try our luck at Acle and get some cooler air through the boat , arrived at Acle at 19:45 only available space , after a quick reccie was on the farm moorings ,£10, and wandered to the Bridge Inn , due to the heat kitchen shut at 19:00 and they called last orders at 20:15 for drinks , okay it’s a Monday evening BUT there were 50+ customers enjoying the facilities !!!

returned to Pipedreams , pâté for dinner turning in now after a few Hobgoblins

One of the hottest days in years and they close the pub early, that is crazy!

Hi who are the Agency's for the On Shore Power now ? As to setting theses Electricity prices by pre payment meter card that should not cost that  much  as to Standard Key meter at Home. I believe?

Just like at home there are different suppliers for the owner to select one and sign a contract. As to a maximum price tariffs for moorers I dont know.

Still £1.99.9 at Tesco here for diesel. Coincidentally (ha ha) the two cheaper independent garages that I use round these parts are both undergoing upgrades to their forecourts.

No suprise there as the retailers are the ones keeping prices high rather than the goverment.

    Or:

Is 3.7mph Too Slow in a 4mph Speed Limit?

A leisurely cruise down the Ant when, passing How Hill I hear a “BEEP” from behind. I think that some kind soul is alerting us to a loose dinghy or some other problem but, no, “I nearly rammed you!”, shouts the helms lady, approximately my age(58) or older.

Apparently, we were going too slowly. I check the GPS. 3.7mph. Check speed limit. 4mph. I thought the GPS was a little slow as I was always told to watch the bank, a brisk walking pace equates to 5mph approx, and this looked fast to me(although the bank is close here, accentuating the speed effect). Anyway, we're on holiday and can do whatever speed we like, under the limit of course.

Soon afterward they come steaming passed, a smallish private cruiser sending wash everywhere. My brother grabs his Iphone and videos, stating his intention to report them to the Broads authority for speeding(wind-up!). These guys are clearly indulging in the wrong activity! Sure enough, at Ludham Bridge they were moored getting supplies. Brother asks if all that rush was worth it, to which she shouts abuse about a complete donkey or something.

The "lady" sounds like an oik as my sister would say. Sadly such behaviour can be found behind the wheel of a boat, a car and pushing a shopping trolley in a supermarket but glad it didnt ruin your holiday.

I had that problem when ordering the huawei one, some of the pictures showed the antenna socket, but the fine print said not with external antenna sockets, but i did get the one I wanted in the end, the problem is they sell the same model number with and without the sockets. so be careful and read the description.

Im reading that the website is out of date and online sellers are basically cutting and pasting the info unaware.

generally, I would try and avoid kits designed for boats and caravans, they tend to be quite basic and expensive for what they include. They trade on ease of installation and being a one-box fix.

I would look no further than a TP Link MR6400. It has a reasonable degree of configurability but is also plug n play out of the box, just power up, insert a sim, and away you go. It comes with 2 detachable antennae which you can remove and replace with high-power external ones if you wish and is reasonably priced at around £60

Im reading that the current ones have non removable antennaes
