  1. Now confirmed as Chelsea's caretaker manager until the end of the season, last November in their case! Apparently John Terry was instrumental in Frank's appointment, it will give Terry more time to spend with Christine.
  2. Every day is a school day, many thanks. 🙂
  3. Give it a few years and Dacia will be up there with other car makers, just like Skoda and Kia now are.
  4. Belated birthday wishes, Chelsea shield eh, has your wife gone off you?!
  5. Get a six year old nephew to do it.
  6. I've watched Salvage Rebuilds for a couple of years now, two very able guys. 🙂
  7. Amateur, we were once due to go to Walsall's ground on coach, (late 1980's) not enough turned up to make it economical. We quickly hired a 12 seater minibus, all the hire firm had left, and all 25 of us piled in! The police were far from impressed when they stopped us on the outskirts of Walsall. Happy days.
  8. Every government of the past 70 odd years should have said thank you Bomber Command by way of a dedicated campaign medal, shame on them all. RIP George Johnny Johnson MBE ,DFM, hero.
  9. Harry Redknapp has heard of him, ' Mike Tyson wouldn't last two rounds with him', 'Jamie, don't go anywhere near that nutcase', Alan Hansen, 'he was crazy', Alan Shearer, ' he was evil' and Vinnie Jones, 'the hardest footballer ever'. When at Oxford he'd had a couple of bare knuckle fights for cash and when he turned up for training, with nine stitches in his face, he told the staff he'd had a car crash. In the next match he clashed with Bruce Grobbelaar and the stitches burst open with blood everywhere. Oxford's physio told Billy he'd have to come off, his reply was 'you try and take me off and I'll ******* kill you!. We saw him sinking pints in a local pub at 1pm on a Saturday matchday, ' alright Billy, not playing today?' Nope, I'm on the team sheet!' Different days.
  10. Pah, I can resist anything but temptation. Strictly is not for me, each to their own though. As for Harris, the Thurnscoe Express ( aka Billy Whitehurst) would have him for breakfast, after four Weetabix!
  11. How odd, I had rabbit for tea earlier, done that same way save for the celery. Another difference is mine cost £8-60 (for one!) from our local butcher! Delicious though.
  12. Threads don't drift, they expand. 🙂
  13. Hope all goes well for you, with a full recovery.
  14. I'm guided by cricket's minor counties leagues.
  15. Today is Yorkshire Day, God's own county. Accept no pale imitations!
  16. Yes if you're a amateur, there's clue in their job title, professional footballer.
  17. The regular England team that for the past 15 years have donated their match fees to charity, benefitting charities to the tune of several million pounds?
  18. Left my hat there so had to return, yeah!
  19. This year was our third time on a boat on the Broads, every time has been out of the fishing season and every time we've seen several people fishing. Some of them were even fishing whilst their boat was underway, crackdown on them methinks.
